  1. so your maybe moving to Invers then? or just somewhere in southland?
  2. Have had no problems at all untill the kribs start the breeding ritual, when that happens I just remove them to a breeding tank.
  3. Yeah, was gutted I had to get rid of him. Damn boss wouldn't let me use him as a reason to get a much larger tank at the time :spop: I quote " your not spending another !@#$%^ $1000 or so on a !@#$%^ fish that cost you $20 !@#$%^ dollars", should really see about washing her mouth out with soap I guess, then again my fish and I kind of need a nice warm place to live so maybe not lol.
  4. Sure, next time your at the supermarket pick yaself up a couple, then send me an invoice :mbh:
  5. This leopard plec measured just under 50cm when I had to re-home him, He was around 4 years old.
  6. Demasonis go real well with electric yellows I've been told.... Maybe even a couple of red jewels?
  7. After a long and serious argument with my 3 year old daughter we have decided to call it casper, Nigz wasn't very appropriate for when she talks about it at kindy, her 1st choice was shark lol
  8. Isn't there a law against that?....
  9. Sorry for the crappy quality photos, were taken off my partners phone. Apistogramma Cacatouides "Triple Red" Blue Ram & Kribensis HUGE Leaopard Plecostomus Male Bolivian Ram 200ltr Tank I just bought I will continue uploading pics over the weekend once my camera batteries are charged, They will be better quality.
  10. LOL hmmmm might have more luck with them than I do with certain plants lol
  11. I kept 2 large male kribs together with no problems whatsoever........ That is until they see each other lol.
  12. Still no pictures? I'd post a pic of mine but all it is is a 2ltr Ice cream container with some smelly porridge in it, not very fascinating lol.
  13. WOW, and here I was thinking I'm doing great just keeping my plants alive lol
  14. I have successfully raised 2 batches of krib fry by removing the parents from the breeding tanks, as long as the tanks are reasonably small, say 8-10 gallons and are bare bottom, (so the fry can find the food easier). I don't feed them for a few days after they are free swimming as they usually just peck at the sponge filter, then I just start feeding them that cheap liquifry food you can buy anywhere and have had a 90% + fry survival rate.
  15. lol you really need to re-size your photos, I read this entire thread on my phone and it just chewed through the data :tears:
  16. Deffinitely mate, that means that every hour you are filtering your water around 8 times which is fantastic.
  17. Sounds like sage advice to me. +1
  18. hmmm so many to choose from, my mate told me to call him Nigz lol, but I reckon hes got too much white on him....
  19. what size tank are they in?
  20. use a small tank with a double layer of marbles as substrate, then once they have spawned remove the parents and marbles.
  21. I would put money on it being the krib, what size is it and is it m/f? also you should really have something for your plec to hide in eg. a piece of driftwood or a terracotta tube, thats what I use, the plec might clean the tank then coz he won't be so stressed.
