  1. If you get stuck use google, that's what I usually do. Chances are someone has had the same problem as you and someone has explained how to fix it.
  2. I've got 0 experience with marines but welcome and goodluck!
  3. They're a great community fish, there is a guy on here that sells Apistogramma Trifasciata, they are personally one of my favorite fish and are beautiful. If you do want some apisto's I wouldn't probably keep more than 1 male to 2-3 females though, unless your tank is heavily planted to create some complexity for them to escape from each other. Also I have kept rams with bristlenoses with no problems at all, rams are peaceful and the bristlenoses never do any damage to them other than chase them away if they get too close. http://www.trademe.co.nz/pets-animals/f ... 103448.htm
  4. Any type of dwarf gourami would be ok in there, I have kept 2 male honey gouramis together in a 54ltr with no aggression problems at all. Have you looked in some of the dwarf cichlids like apistogramma's or either type of ram? Bolivian rams are great in a small tank as once they have settled in they always come and "greet" you when your near the tank and can be really entertaining to watch.
  5. If you get a few more cory's he won't be shy at all, they love to be in groups.
  6. I bags them all if you successfully raise them :slfg:
  7. Yeah, real nice dude. I agree with Li@m, would look real good with a few Apisto's in there.
  8. It's really strange how they have been doing business if you ask me..... kinda fishy :slfg:
  9. I've read alot on the net that just says to leave them to break down completely as the bacteria from the decomposition is beneficial to the fish health-wise, I'm just gonna keep a close eye on water quality over the next few weeks to make sure I don't get a spike somewhere. Cheers though Joe. Also it pays not to boil the leaves as this has been proven to destroy any of the beneficial properties of the leaves, so far so good.
  10. They will be if it proves to benefit the fish, they have only been in there for 2-3 weeks and are slowly breaking down.
  11. Everyone's bill will be different because of ALOT of different factors man. Just because 1 person may pay a certain amount does not mean you will be paying the same even if you had the exact same tanks and equipment.
  12. wow that's a pretty cool idea for a filter, I would think shops like para-rubber would sell that type of foam material. I would try trademe first for the pipe fittings etc. then maybe some local plumbing suppliers.
  13. Hey, make sure the box beside "Do not automatically parse URLs" at the bottom of the pm isn't checked.
  14. Most grocery stores will have some they will sell you for small change and also try local butcherys.
  15. I have found that siamese algae eaters are pretty useless at the cleanup of BBA unless you can make sure they don't get fed anything else. Also they grow really big really fast. Cheaper just to dose with flourish excel. Also yes, high flow does encourage BBA to grow.
  16. same as you would ship them I guess, poly boxes and a towel/paper for insulation. If your worried about heat loss just buy a heat pad while your up there, I think most pet shops up there would stock them.
  17. 6 is best unless you have a breeding pair.
  18. wow, theyre some quality looking fighters!
