    testing water

Upuntill this monday I had never tested any of my tanks, but I saw an API master testkit on special so I grabed it. I now have conformation that my main tank is in a mini cycle after a complete teardown and move - something I new anyway. I did want to keep an eye on my big tank as I always have cyanobacteria (blue/green algee) in there. It is mostly unplanted though. What intrested me the most was that there is a large difference in ph between my two main tanks when I thought that they would be both would be about 6.6 - 6.8 The main tank is at a low 6.4 and the small torrie/bullie tank is at a very high 7.6 - both have driftwood and a sand/pebble substrate :dunno:
  6. BTW fish TB in humans is a skin/softtisue disease only
  7. The first thing I do to android phones is root them and install a clean OS off XDA, why wait for the phone makers to update the software when it is OSS
  8. I have two 5000lph wavemakers in my 1200*600*600 along with the cf1200 filter. There is not too much current down the far end of the tank, i have both at the same end. My natives probably like more movement than Cichlids might, and some would like even more current than what I have in there. If you are looking at the cheep resun ones on TM then they are cheep for a reason , one of mine arived with a broken shaft, that was replaced promptly, and I managed to break another shaft when one started in reverse and sucked small stones in and I had to pull the cover off
  9. I'd seen the black pvc/nitrile ones that go to about mid bicep
  10. You must have large cows your ways, 1200*600*600 tanks makes over 80cm water depth to reach the back of my tank. ie almost to my armpit
  11. So the phone and software work fine and the problem is with windows 7?
  12. USB wifi adaptors are knowen for often being slow. Reinstalling windows should be a last resort, try tools like CC Cleaner and a diskdefrag might help... too long since I used windos for anything :sage:
  13. I hate getting windows to play nicly with file sharing over the network, some times it will just jot work then all of a suddon with no changes it will start and then run fine  Does the wifi work on the phone, can you get an internet connection via wifi? You have file sharing turned on on the PC? You dont have wireless sepperation turned on in the router?
  14. mant routers you will have to press the wifi button so that they broadcast their SSID, then computers can find them for the first time and register HTH

  21. Some phones dont present the storage as a disk to the OS, you have to load a special driver for the OS to takl to the phone, probably stored in one of the Vista>Vista-AMD64>Win7>Win7-AMD64 folders?
  22. My little brother thought it would be funny to buy me a christmas gift of a little goldfish for my native tank :rotf: I now have a very bright splash of orange in my tank, I wonder how long it will last with the two kokopu :dunno:
