Are these for cold/tropical/marine? I'd be keen on some maybe we can all put in and pay for some if they can be imported?

Hi Guys I have been wanting a Fire eel for ages, and finally got one last week after selling some of my smaller fish to pay for it! It had been in the tank 4 days, stayed in this bell but I would hold the bell up (in the water) and feed it the bloodworms which it use to take. Yesterday I couldn't find it anywhere, pretty much tore the tank apart and its gone! Other fish in the tank are Black Ghost knife, catfish, bristlenose and Plattys (eel was only about 10cm - I know it will get bigger and was planning on getting rid of other fish when this happened). Tank is 270L, had a large lid, its pretty much closed on top, there is a real small hole where the filter cords etc go in, I doubt it jumped out of that but thats the only thing I can think of. The tank is against the wall but used my phone to video the back but its not dead on the ground. Any ideas where it went? I am so upset! Ground of tank is gravel not sand. Cheers

Who breeds these? I have 5 in my big 270l tank. 2 are females and 3 males (I know I should have more females than males). Both females have had babies and the babies were getting big (2 from 1 survived a while and 3 from the other). Then they disappeared so assume they were munched. Was gutted. I knew they Would all not survive but thought some might as I'm sure they probably had more than 2 each. Anyway 1 was I'm sure preg again as she was huge. Didn't want to use a breeding net but tried it last night. Woke up and she was no longer fat but no babies there. Did she eat them all? In the tank I have Plecos and corys and a syno. What's the best way to breed them without separating them into another tank?

Hi Guys Hope I have posted this in the right section, just wanting a bit of help/advice/feedback if I can. I have a Fluval 304 filter, had it for like 7 years I think. Last year one of the blue clips that holds the top to the main part broke, so it won't close - so I can't use it. I was gonna get rid of it, but it worked really well. I have an Eheim filter at the moment (not sure of the number) but it just does not seem to work anywhere near as good as the Fluval. Is there anywhere that I can send it to so it can be fixers/serviced, etc and if so, any idea on prices? Or am I better off getting a new one because of its age? Many Thanks

Hi Guys Hoping someone can help me. I have a 270L tank which is about 1.2m long. It has a big lid at the top with 2 long fluroscent lights. 1 stopped going (wasnt the bulb as tried to replace that). The other one goes now and then, basically when it feels like it. At one stage both did go. Where could I take this to get fixed? Anywhere in the Wellington region would be awesome, otherwise if I had to try send it I would but would much prefer somewhere in Wellington or outer areas (I live in Porirua, work in Wellington CBD).
