i've had convict cichlids in huge buckets outside in the colder months and they were spawning regularly, it was a good food source for my oscars

i bought mine as a baby off an auckland breeder through trademe quite a few years ago. at the time there were no laws. i hope my BTS has a long life span. 20+ years if i'm not mistaken... and it must be 6-7 by now.

catching and transporting 120 large fish is a huge job! even for professionals. which makes me think. it had to be someone who knew how to take care of these fish, and had access to the pond. interrogate the keeper i reckon.

my brain is going overdrive trying to figure out the logistics behind this criminal operation. how on earth do they steal that many big fish?? i'd love to be the detective on this case...

this one time i had a real loud air pump, i put the air pump in the next room and ran the cable under the door lol worked sweet. these days i don't need an air pump because i have this awesome power head current maker thing that has an air intake on it and literally fills my entire aquarium with tiny little air bubbles. i'd recommend it for everybody that is sick of air pumps. it's not quiet unless i put the air intake hose outside. but that's ok because i am getting really quite deaf now.

i always put my air pumps on top of a big soft piece of foam. makes them heaps quieter since it's usually the vibration that makes the noise 8)

what kind of fish? if they are goldfish or american cichlids then do 50% water changes every two days or more. if they are more delicate fish do 25% every two days. it will come right. 0.5 is nothing to panic about.

i know that house it's like fort knox, massive tall concrete fence around it, steel gates, cameras everywhere etc. i'll put money on it that it's an inside job. if they were just common thieves then i'd be surprised if they can sell on that many fish let alone store them until they are sold. they were probably stealing to fill an order. someone on here will probably hear something about it.... it's possible the pond was heated. it's even possible it was salt. with 200mill, anything is possible! also, 10 points for alliteration.
