  6. answered my own question. i really should try answering them before i ask them. still - original question - what is the pleco that david posted and i reposted above?
  7. good question mahn. unfortunately they have to be specifically named on the list by scientific name to be allowed into NZ. sweet, thanks for answering that question for me mahn. no worries mahn.
  8. i was wondering about that. are there specific plecos on "the list" or are plecos as a whole allowed into NZ?
  9. cool thread. bumped.. what is this pleco?
  10. turns out most of my shrimp were disappearing not just because of the cichlids eating them, but because my cat was catching them. seriously! that darn pussy! always ruining things. i have recently put a heater in said tank and kept it around 28c. i saw a live shrimp in there today and yesterday. that makes a good 2 months it's been in there for. gonna get some more soon and put them into the same tank now it's heated and see how they do. will take the cichlids out before i do.
  11. i've been listening to the same album for a few weeks now: alice in chains - mtv unplugged.
  12. u g l y you ain't got no alibi
  13. gonna jump on the hate wagon here. parrots are retarded. have seen some so badly crossed and inbred i felt sorry for them just because they existed. i wanted to put them out of their misery. hybrids = yes, but parrots = no
  14. just make sure it's woody
  15. i often digress. here is a photo of one of my dads chryslers parked outside my old house.
  16. my friend made a cupcake aquarium.
  17. well, at times he has a chauffeur, me. but most of the time he drives it himself. it's an old school chrysler, dark green just like that one. tai-hoe, i'm trying to find a picture.
  18. my dad has one just like that!
  19. new fish keeper is starting off with a bang! keen to see updates...
  20. send it out happy
  21. do not use apple snails or mystery snails. i have had a group of 4 of them completely clear out a tank of 40 small to medium size "guppies" in a matter of weeks. so i kept putting the little fish in there and the little fish kept disappearing and the snails quickly grew bigger than snooker balls. but i never did catch them in the act. how they managed to catch fish, is still a mystery to me.
  22. by far the coolest naturally occurring thing in the whole world
