game of thrones, i just couldn't get into it. tried, but is just too far fetched for me. never got into fantasy stuff. been watching a show called "1000 ways to die". pretty much the darwin awards re-enacted with all the gore, coupled with complete comedic disrespect for the diseased. great show for those with sadistic tendencies...

i think i put too much mud in there to start with. could just add more sand but substrate is already like 5cm high. we'll see for now. i wanna wait and see how it settles. i plan on planting it very heavily, with easy growing plants. i want as much plant growth in there as possible. i have some grunty lights for it. objective of this tank is to be able to ignore it for long periods of time. plant some plants that spread and leave it to do its thing. i like the whole ecosystem balance thing, walstead method etc. this may be a success, it may be a train wreck, but, it will be recorded here nonetheless.

yeah they whole extra nutrients thing.... can i avoid that by putting just a little bit of daltons mud in, or is it going to be an issue regardless of how much mud i put in there?

i can train apples better than i can train cats. so i put the sand on top of the mud, and it was messy. messy messy. the sand is mostly on top but mud coming through in many areas. it looks kinda cool, but didn't come out how i had intended it to. it never does 8) simultaneous in/out water change system currently running.

yeah no eels i've got a couple of weeks before i need to even think about putting fish or plants in there. i can't be assed washing the sand thoroughly. will rinse it out a bit before it goes in. i don't have a filter for it yet anyway, either gotta get one of my old pos working or get a new one. so yeah. it can sit for a while.

got some of that daltons stuff. it's very muddy. i'm just gonna scape it, sloping to the back and clear a trench at the front, and then put a big layer of sand over the top. then will fill it with water and let it sit. what ya'll reckon.

i think they will be fine, but again it depends on your tank size. they both need to be able to have space to themselves, or at least somewhere out of line of sight of each other

no, 150 litre is far to small for one oscar. you need to be looking at the very, very least 300 litres for a fully grown oscar. you might get away with growing one out from small in a 150 litre but you will very soon need to upgrade as they grow fast ie reach 20-30 cm in under two years.

nah i didn't like the sopranos either. breaking bad is on a different level than any other crime show, the screenplay, filming, acting and storyline is in a class of its own. i like how the main protagonist is the bad guy. drink when i watch breaking bad, in an effort to forget the show so i can watch it again and again hahaha. coming up in july i think? will start watching it from season one again soon to catch up.

i dunno if i'd house rams with jd's. it might work, but if it doesn't will be a costly mistake. i should mention that your tank is really on the small side for what you want to stock, dempseys grow fast, and those hoplos will get big too. the less room, the more chance of aggression in the tank.

i don't watch public tv, do not allow my daughter to watch it either, mostly to escape the advertisements... and trash like shortland st and home and away. nobody needs that stuff. breaking bad = best drama show ever. family guy is like home to me, regularly watch it for hours on end. i like mockumentary type comedies, the office, trailer park boys, arrested development. i am very pleased that the canned laughter is being phased out of comedy shows. you should check out louie, which is louis ck's show. funny stuff. the voice = worst tv show ever, followed closely by all shows that follow the ridiculous lives of spoilt little rich kids (sweet 16, whatever show snookie is from)

nah they're usually pretty placid. small chance you might get an agro one. even if you do, they only really disagree with other cichlids. but your loaches are probably too big for one to eat anyway.
