  1. Nice vid Works well, like it. How many times per day does the timer activate it ?
  2. Ok, thanks ! (love icecreams... Mr Whippy's gonna be my best friend ) Mmm... I'm not blue when I get dressed in white. Wearing sometimes a long train, However, I don't go to a wedding. But when I'm red, feathers above my hair you'll see. Who am I ? Clue : my name is a part of a very poetic name I'm sure you know.
  3. I was about to go to sleep and, after a last zapping, there was a baby takahe on screen, among phormiums... Well... I scratched my head... My sleepy brain tells to my left eye to open up a little wide, just for checking if it could be something about NZ. Bingo ! So I said to myself it's time NOT to go to sleep. I just saw by chance a documentary on french tv about Fiordland. Waow 8 ))) So beautiful it seems unreal... Especially this temperest forest with some incredible trees, ferns, treeferns, moss... There's a walk through the park I forgot its name. A botanist was studying an old tree (about 800-1000 years old but not a kauri. It has a red trunk) and he said those kind of very old trees are a complete ecosystem. Very impressive... I learnt nothofagus grows there, which is one of my favourite tree. Humboldt falls are amazing. And so clear water streams and lakes. Mates, your country is just fa-bu-lous... Well, this time, I'm gonna go to sleep (it's now 6:30am down there )
  4. Nice shot, nice setup ! :bounce: And I like your DIY kiwi style ! Gonna do the same one (I'm not kidding) Old post but I just discover your topic... I'm reading it.
  5. I just read all your topic. What a great job ! :bounce:
  6. +1 I wish I could do the same thing. Congrats too ! Could you give us the parameters of your water (PH and so on) ?
  7. +1 with Supasi. Depends on your lightning power and how high is your tank. Will you use CO2 ?
  8. Yep, I think so and with another dimensions, as 30 x 30 x 45 or 45 x 45 x 60, it works too. Here's the very first terrarium I made 3 years ago, after dreaming about it during a long time. I wanted to set up a kinda native forest, with a mossy root, lying in water and mist. I like misty atmospheres... It makes me dream I just placed one lightning (26w bulb) in order to simulate an half-light mood. There was a small filter (150 l/h) in the aquatic part (45 x 45 x 8 cm). The "root" is actually a branch which was destined to the heating. Doors are on the left side
  9. Thanks Doors are in the back. I didn't want any partitions, in order to have a full view of it.
  10. No inhabitants yet. I think about dendrobates or little frogs (and not because I'm french lol  ) Lucky you they grow outside. You know, I'm fond of NZ landscapes. The very first time I saw pictures of your country, I just stayed breathless. Especially Doubftul Sound, places in the southlands, incredible lakes and so on... can't name all of them, too many I saw treeferns and phormiums grow outside too. Two of my favourites plants
  11. Dunno... May be because we're near to Belgium and Germany.
  12. Yes they are. Love them too. Nice pics
  13. So bad... But it's a real good news you could have some. Hope you'll get another ones !

    Word Association

Cucurma ('cause I just read a medical study from Pr Richard Beliveau about cucurma, which is a spice It has both preventive and curative effects against cancer. It would inhibit the growth of the cancerous tumors, lymphomas. Black pepper increases the effect of the cucurmina by 1000%. Richard Beliveau is manager of the laboratory of molecular biology in the cancer research center of the Saint-Justine hospital, in Montreal, Canada. He is professor of biochemistry).

    Guess who

Yes ! :bounce: Pseudomugil gertrudae. Amazing the way it looks from another point of view we don't use to have, doesn't it. It remembers me the movie Dead poets society, the classroom scene, when Robin Williams climbs onto his desk.
  17. What kind of inhabitants for your tank, Axokeeper ? [Edit] I mean : big polluters ? In a pretty same tank, with inhabitants like rasbora maculata (30) I use 1 L of noodles and 1 L of JBL Micromec (kinda white pellets made from sintered glass. They say it's about 1500m²/l colonisation surface). I have 7cm of Manado and sand as base substrat (it helps too).
  18. Thanks I made a micro stream in it, through the moss
