  1. If you're careful. I imagine they could be broken in half too. If I think of it tomorrow I will give it a go and see if I can get flat edges.
  2. The limestone rocks here are all round. Slate is flat.
  3. Will take another pic of it all tomorrow so you can see how it's growed 8) The bird bath is a plinth only as the bowl cracked and broke in half during a heavy frost The two climbers were also killed but have just started coming away agin I see. The tops of the hebes got hit by frost too.

    Platys and salt

Platys are FRESHWATER fish, they do not require any salt in their water. It will not make them grow faster either.

    cloudy water

It will clear. Time to do so depends on the type of filtration (if any)
  18. I suggest, in that case, the victim was also anaemic
  19. Conch is right with both his comments (re white that isn't lime and putting them in a bucket and test over a week).
  20. The wcmms and corys would not have liked the higher temps
  21. Ain't fishkeeping fun? :bounce:
  22. Time off? Try owning your own business and working from home. People seem to think it appropriate to call 24/7. The phone started at 7.30am (as usual), couriers start arriving at 7.15am and it is all go until midnight - 1.30am for my husband - 7 days a week. We have even had someone ring on Christmas Day one year as they had bought a printer and couldn't figure out how to make it go with their computer. Always the conversation starts with "Sorry to bother you BUT...) Only 10 exams would be a breeze.
  23. I don't know if you have limestone in Wgtn but I have a lot of it here. A bit dear to post. Anyone coming this way over the holidays? You could load up the car boot
