  1. I think a pie raffle would go down well (no pun intended) Or a pie auction.
  2. I realise that but what I meant was, as I do not know whether a 10 year guarantee silicone was used, I don't know if I actually have the better odds a longer original guarantee would give
  3. Yep. I think this needs to be locked. Enough said.
  4. product range will focus on plants which are difficult to obtain from the LFS and aquascaping products (CO2 regulators, fertilisers etc) apparently
  5. I have absolutely no idea if it had a guarantee to begin with! We used it as a wardrobe for a couple of years before it was set up
  6. It was the last (and best) piece of the day, just before 9am.
  7. That would be great skippy. It is only about 5 - 7 minutes long. We would appreciate not having to listen to Paul Henry's inanities at the start
  8. I was not thinking in terms of "guarantee", just how long I could expect it to hold under normal conditions. Methinks I will get it re-sealed next time I strip it. Better safe than sorry. Unfortunately it is built into a wall unit (in fact the unit was designed around the tank) so I can't take the opportunity of making it bigger either. Oh well, still talking about a 6ft for the computer room
  9. Go have a look at his site Sam and all will be revealed.
  10. She was interviewed about her turtle rescue activities. It was very good and she came across very well. Her nervousness didn't show at all! If you missed it perhaps you can go see it on that TVonline thing. She was on the breakfast show. :bounce:
  11. We didn't have a TV when I was a child and we played cards and Monopoly a lot (along with snakes and ladders, dominoes, checkers and battle ships). Some of our Monopoly games would last all week. When older we played quiz games (similar to the quiz night games at pubs these days), Scrabble, Upwords and Trivial Pursuit. My daughter plays board games with her step children.
  12. Nice looking cup cakes! So, can we expect a pumpkin pie at conference this year????
  13. Our paper recently listed all the known places to get free food around here. It included all sorts of fruit and nut trees and various berry fruits etc. Very interesting. My dad gathers walnuts from the trees in the park next door then shells and sells them.
  14. An interesting subject. My 4ft tank is over 10 years old (possibly over 15+ - time flies  ) and the silicone is coming away ragged on the edges and now a bit thin in places. I think next time I strip the tank for a plant cleanout I might get it down to the glazier and have it totally resealed. I gather silicone doesn't last forever :-?
  15. After two weeks? Not your fault. Sounds like a case of new owner, lack of knowledge.
  16. You have spice just for pumpkin pie??? I tried to make a pumpkin pie once but it tasted terrible. Perhaps I used the wrong sort of pumpkin or it was the lack of special spice  When my daughter was in the US we had to send her Weetbix and custard powder
  17. You can't trust someone who still has choc fish left after 3 weeks!
  18. I like the ghecko on the wall above
  19. We can chat at any time if we know someone is in there

    Help....

It may have gone through and out the other end too Goldfish are good at picking up stones and swallowing some. It is only a problem if it gets stuck somewhere :-?
  21. What sort of fancy breed is it? In the pic it looks like it has been quilted!
