  2. Gosh, how are you guys gonna sleep, are they stronger or getting more softer
  3. I am so sorry about everything happening for you now Jennifer, we are with you all the way in thoughts, and just shout if we can help you. When I read the part I quoted above, the tears just started falling, I wish I could do something to help out.
  4. I bought the growth formula one and my fish just love it. My glass catfish thinks its heaven, they have a good go at it with the guppies, and my guppies have even coloured up real quick. Its gone within seconds, you won't look back
  5. hahahaha I loved the babysitter one, poor guy was truly freaked  edited to add this link http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php ... 6274123574 another one http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1367371912011

  7. Something must have caused that, do you have driploops on all your cables? Do you keep them dust free? I will ask my hubby once he wakes up, he did night shift last night, he is an electrical engineer so should be able to help out with info
  8. I wish my fish would do that, I would just love to be able to pet them
  9. Great idea BikBok I was going to suggest some slate rocks, but those will be heavy if you need to make it big enough for a pleco. The Pvc is a great idea, they come in all different sizes and they also have the end pieces so you can cover the one end up and put a plant infront of it then it will be like a cave with only one entrance. Good luck in getting your big old pleco a nice hidey hole, he will deffinetly be less stressed with one
  10. a hidey hole will be a very good idea too, it relieves stress by 99.9%. I used to have none, cause I wanted to see my fish until the friendly members here told me its very neccessary for a healthy pleco
  11. Do you have a nice big hidey hole for him, one he will be able to have a little quiet time without other fish bothering him. Pleco's love their time outs I would try some different foods, hikari algae wafers is a big favourite in many tanks. Try the fresh veggies, put it in at night just before lights out, so that he has more time at it than the other fish that eat during lights on. I am also a beginner in this hobby so is just advicing you on what was told to me and what I do here at my home
  12. He is probably just a bit stressed in his new house. You know moving house and so on I would try different veggies, my pleco's love pumpkin and courgette aka zuchini. Perhaps try some Hikari algae wafers as well as the jbl tablet, that is what I do. Some fish prefer other food, you could also ask the person who you got him from what they used to feed him
  13. Hi all Thanks for everyones advice, sorry I had a very busy weekend so can only get back to you all today. I did a small surface waterchange since there was not that much poop and once I put the guppy fry in the tank most of the poop dissapeared, thos pleco poop is mostly pumpkin and zucchini LOL. I decided to give them lots of pirvacy and is not even putting the light on too much, next week I will do the gravelchange where I just suck around them not touching the actual gravel. One of them is in and out there the whole time while the other one is lying close by just looking and occasionally going in then out. My big bristlenose boy (thanks Snowman) is loving to hang out under the bridge in day time and coming out for a snack at night time, have not seen actual digging from him. I have no idea what sex my choccies are, they don't have bristles to give it away LOL, but when I got them from Hollywoods they said they were a bit young to be exactly sure, but it did look like it could be a male and female. Poor Hollywoods had about ten of them on the counter in individual jars checking them out from the top They really go the extra mile for a person
  14. How will I get rid of all the lovely stringy fish poop then?
  15. should I do a waterchange or rather leave it, My tank is due for its 10% waterchange tomorrow :-?
  16. I am not sure, they are about 6cm now, the one looks even a little bigger. They usually just hid and came out for food, they have never been so actively busy digging, I saw the one really sweeping with his tail, you just saw gravel everywhere. edited to add I have had a lot of waterchanges recently because of the sick fish, and also I introduced some frozen foods the last three weeks. Brine shrimp twice a week and bloodworms once a week. Most of my fish had super growth spurts because of that
  17. Hi all. Well I thought my new male bristlenose was the one making mountains in the tank by digging under the bogwood, but it turns out that he was happily hiding under the little bridge and its my chocolate zebra's doing the digging Now that I did not expect. I am so new at this whole breeding thing. I think all the water changes must have edged them towards the breeding. I have googled and yahooed and still is not happy with the info I received. I read something about the male trapping the female for up to a week sometimes before she will let go of her eggs, is this true and if it is how on earth am I supposed to do waterchanges. I usually move half of the tank's caves and stuff so I can thoroughy gravel vac and then do the other side afterwards, but they have completely dug out under the large bogwood and also almost completely covered the front entrance of one of my stone caves. Should I not do a ten percent gravel vac this week, the water is clean except for some poop here and there. Oh my I am so stuck, wish I could find more info by googling. Hope you guys can help me out
  18. Snowman there is a lot of activity in my tank. Your big guy dug out all around the one stone cave then stopped and started digging out under the large bogwood, he is slapping gravel everywhere  Making lots of sandpiles in my usually flat gravelled tank
  19. I thought that red eye was just a bit too red
  20. Thanks snowman He is settled now, he overtook the terrority of my chocolate zebra's but he is kind enough to share with them, so all three of them are under the little bridge in the tank. No fights which supprised me. My female is checking him out from the filter, will see if she meets up with him tonight
  21. They say its working for them. wonder why its not working for you
  22. I don't play it, but will ask my friends that play it whether they have problems with it
  23. Snowman thanks so much for the offer. I would have to have a word with my hubby first, but will get back to you either tomorrow or a bit later tonight, he is currently busy watching Transformers revenge of the fallen with my son, so they are having bonding time ps, I think one set of smiles will do it, as I only have a Blueplanet vista (160litre) tank and it allready has two chocolate zebra's as well. I will give you a hello smile, thank you smile and a very much appreciated smile all for the one male if my husband approves of me getting him
  24. Hahahaha I just laughed out loud reading this
