Yay :happy2: Are you gonna take a pic of it and show us
  4. Mine is at 26 degrees. I try to keep them at that, in summer it manages to creep up to 28, but with the new heatpump its more manageable, so not too bad  Your fishie is a beauty. How long do they usually live, 28 is very old, she is having an awesome life
  5. I got the lure You have to strike it as you feel you are realing it, a very short time to make that decision too. I also caught the Boss Golden bass Let me know if you want to know where I found mine, and I am Top Pro now. Love the bad weather, doing more fishing in it than we do on the boat in good weather
  6. So sorry about your fish. It happens when non fishy knowledge people look after them, probably found all the food was dumped in on one day and never returned to check on them again I suggest next time advertising on here in advance to your holiday and perhaps a forum friend can look after them for you. I only ask my friend who has knowledge of fish to look after them, else I buy a food tablet and cut it in four and put it all over the tank, those have been good for me so far, no troubles with them yet and we went away for two weeks once and I came back to even find bristlenose babies. Hope your new tank will be very excitening for you and that you have better luck with a better fish sitter next time
  7. Awww what an experience that must have been for you to hold a hatching egg

Wish we could, but Stef is still a bit unwell with her tummy every now and then. So its indoors near the white throne for us. Also the reason we did not go fishing as well, both Me and Stef love fishing, she is quite the little fisherwoman

  10. Hi there all. I am playing big catch bass fishing 2 on wii. I have made top pro now and there is a hidden lure in Kyoto infront of the Budha statue that I need to reel in, Problem is I start reeling it in then it unhooks and says missed. I have tried reeling fast, reeling slow and striking. Any players out there that can advice me. I can let you on in some secrets about albino's and some supers available. I currently caught two boss and two supers in my live well
  11. Do you have them on photo bucket or something similar. If you do then just paste the img code here and then we will see it
  12. How I raise my kids ....Love them unconditionally and keep them happy, fed and cleaned LOL.
  13. Thanks for the offer Zev, so far I will say no thank you. My hubby is a bit upset by this all and wants to wait and see if I heal first, my arm is so bad today and I am even nautious :-?
  14. Its all great ideas, but zombie is my completely blind Harlequin, he seems to know its foodtime if I put my hand in and hold the frozen foods for him to nibble first. The others get broken up in the tank once I know his tummy is full. I used to put a jbl nova tab against the window, but now the bristlenoses take over there and poor Zombie loses out. So to be sure he feeds I need to handfeed him. Tried tweezers before, because I use them for feeding my puffers bloodworms, but zombie does not take to that. I think its best to just patiently wait until duckweed by itself is available again. It will happen Below is little Zombie.
  15. Hubby is going to do my waterchange this Saturday and tomorrow he will remove all the duckweed/riccia. I have just returned from the pharmacy with a cortisone/steroid cream and she said if it does not clear up in a week I would have to go to the doc for a sterioid/cortisone injection It flared up because I tried feeding zombie with the glove and he did not eat, so I took the glove off to feed him. Then he swam a bit lower and my arm went a bit deeper without realising. I vigorously washed it, but worse went to worse. Ah well I loved the look of the duckweed and riccia, but its impossible to split the two
  16. http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/mp/12496453/marton-woman-claims-airborne-shark/ Someone just owned up and took your shark. I would say there is a bigger chance it can be yours than theirs, since they only lost theirs on christmas day and it was allready spotted on the 29th :dunno:
  17. It was Marine Sophia http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=56094 For Native I wanted to start a pond, because I really did not want to get rid of my current big tank http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=56281
  18. I was also very interested in starting a small marine but was adviced by marine tank keepers that the minimum size should really be about 200 litres, as it will be more stable and temps won't raise too high in the summer. So guess I am just repeating their advice to you, have a think about it

aww Anthony hope you feel better soon. My daughters temp is down now, she is finally sleeping a bit, so I might catch some zzz's with her, so I can stay awake with her tonight if she feels the same again
  20. Yeah :nilly: as it is, I forgot about all the squares drawn on me the day I did it later in the evening, and my friend returned from her holiday so I had to return her dog's stuff I had while taking care of her dog. She just kept on glancing at my arm, eventually I caught on and explained  Decided to keep the Riccia its too pretty to remove. So I will see if it happens this bad again with the next waterchange, if it does, then I will try out the gloves for cows, if that is too tricky then I will remove it and try and get duckweed only, it makes the tank look so nice, and I noticed my harlequins enjoying a bite every now and then as well

Just been fishing all morning with the family. Not at sea, its too rough out there today. We have been playing big bass fishing 2
  23. Hi all, Sorry I got distracted, the whole family were competing on who could cath the albino bass first. I won  and it was a B.O.S.S so I am over the moon. The riccia was guilty. It must be some sort of grass, because I am allergic to grass. It was not as cool as I thought by the whole little square being covered in a rash, but there was itchyness and a few bumps in and around nr 6
  24. Nothing yet to my rash followers :nilly: But then again I worked half the day in my tank and the rash only showed the next day, so we will see tomorrow morning. Sophia revenge is hedding your way too LOL this year I will be seeking revenge by the looks of it :rotf: Mcrash UHM  Mcrudd signing off
