Part one done, water test do not look to bad that I would say it will cause a rash. Fish seem happy and full of life too. So now to start drawing squares on my hand and seperate the riccia from the duckweed :thup: Sophia not even antihistamine is making it go away and it itches like a sandfly bite :nilly: 1 Brineshrimp 2 Duckweed 3 Bloodworms 4 Poo ( yeah I know :sick: ) But I had a lot in the water due to more bottomfeeders 5 Tank water 6 Riccia How long should I leave this on ?

LOL :rotf: Dont feel bad, I am going to thoroughly test my water today, every thing I can possibly test with what I have, then I am going to stick my ohter half of my arm in the water and see what happens. If it happens again I will remove the riccia and duckweed (don't think I can split it) and try to get just duckweed by itself, cause I deffinetly had that before

Now I know I was sober last night, cause I don't drink. So I must be going insane, because the topic started off as Happy new Year then changed to Happy new Ear and now its Hippy New Ear, or am I just immagining things :nilly:

LOL, What about I just dip my whole upper body including face into the tank :nilly: But then I will just take it easy at home as I am a stay at home Mom But Hey if it gave any of you out there an idea, then go for it :thup: Me on the other hand, fed my fishies a bit earlier and managed to find some gloves I bought earlier to do some serious housecleaning, but little zombie was not a fan. He is probably used to my hands feeding him, he kept on swimming past the brineshrimp, so eventually I took the glove off so he could know where I was. But I only used my two pinching fingers, I scrubbed them immidiately after feeding him. I use pinchers to feed the bloodworms to the puffers, so that was not a problem. My arm was flarring up, so I took some of my husbands anti allergy tablets and that seemed to help a little, but for now it feels boiling hot and very itchy :facepalm:

Thanks everyone for your advice :thup: I do feed bloodworms every second night and brine shirmp as well. Then I feed hikari algae wafers and jbl nova tabs. I will take better care next time I do a waterchange and see how it goes, this time however I did take much longer than usual by re landscaping most of the tank. I might invest in those long gloves, only problem is my tank is quite deep and usually it is my whole arm LOL. Atleast my fish love me for keeping their house clean for them.

Its only on the length of the arm that was under the water. As I took my arm out of the water yesterday it would cling to me and I had to wash it off. No where else on my body. Picture not that clear sorry

Hi all, I had a major tank working yesterday and last night I noticed my arm being warm and aching, this morning I looked like someone with measles, I am covered in burning little red bumps. Only thing different in my tank is riccia and duckweed, since I had duckweed only before I suppose it could be the riccia that caused this. I am allergic to grass, so could riccia be family of grass? Has anyone else had this happen before. I always wash my whole arm before and after a waterchange, before with only warm water and afterwards with warm water and dettol antibacterial handwash.

I started the day with a simple waterchange, then I did some filter maintanance, then I decided to do a system check and ended up relandscaping both my tanks :facepalm: Result of big tank

The Ham was glazed with Pineapple and cherries, then its a turkey wrapped in bacon, it was so well cooked it fell off the bone. The centre bowl has some roasted kumara and potato in the middle and some pumkin fritters all around !drool:

Is sitting on the couch with a overfull tummy and my eyes wanting to close for a nice nap. Kids are enjoying their new presents and husband is getting everything ready for us to go on a fishing trip tomorrow morning. I am exhausted, next year we will have a bbq for mains and a watermellon and Caryl's trifle for desserts

My son has one of the telecom phones, don't ask me which one, its one that was $100 I refuse to pay more for a 12 year old insisting everyone in his class has a phone. His came with a disk to run software so I could load mp3's for him and download his photos. But his disk was faulty so I contacted telecom and they helped me over the phone by going into their website to get the right software, so perhaps give 123 a ring and see if they can help you out
