  8. or maybe it's that she gives birth to fishes. which makes Graham's notion even more concerning given that he thought she was a man :smln:
  9. hmmmm.. interesting Zev, GrahamC has been picturing you as an elephant with a halo that sits on fishes....
  10. Now that the parameters are as low as you say, you should test once a week while you are still stocking, and then when you are finished you may not even feel like testing at all. When I got my first test kit I was testing every few days and then weekly when I did water change, and now I rarely do. Every time I do now it's always fine. In saying this it doesn't mean you won't have unexplained fish deaths, or fish that suddenly get something wrong with them and have to be medicated, but your water is what I think everyone would consider healthy for fish.
  11. that's because you haven't got him a girlfriend.... he thinks you're his girlfriend :sml2:

  20. My fish have tended to have deeper colour with a darker background, or dark substrate, or dark plants.
  21. Otos need green algae rather than wood, so I thought. Mine have had various algaes, and wood. This 6 never took to processed food or courgette unlike the original 2 who would suck onto an algae wafer and monopolise it so the corydora couldn't eat it. I wondered if it was something to do with the soft/hardness of the water, or maybe some other bacteria or algae they were getting too much of. I am not sure that I'll ever know. :dunno:
  22. that picture of Romeo kitty cracks me up, he looks like the weirdo of the family :rotf:
