    The What's Up? thread.

I'm 37 in March, got asked for ID at the supermarket last month.
  2. this is cute - teaching your puppy to walk on a treadmill.
  3. you aren't allowed to return them to the wild though
  4. how about these? http://www.trademe.co.nz/pets-animals/f ... 059056.htm
  5. It seems so silly that it makes me wonder if the obvious is not the case, and that is how they can do it. From Stephanie's post I understood that they catch the cat that is already in a colony, neuter it, and then put it back. Not give unhomed strays from the shelter to a colony, that is something different.
  6. haha only if you were involved Alan. Those cats are making a secret pact to turn you into a cat lover.
  7. Would it pain you too much to have a frame built that braced the glass from the outside? If it were done tastefully it wouldn't impinge on the aesthetics and then you may be able to have an even bigger tank.
  8. It appears to change colour - in this photo it looks very red, sometimes it has tinges of purple and olive. This is one of my Supasi original crypts
  9. I don't agree that urban is 'the wild', though they could roam far enough to find 'the wild' since most towns around the outside of a city in NZ aren't too far from bush or pasture of some sort. Do you think SPCA would do that though, if other organisations did not approve? I wonder what authority they have to do that, whether there were any agreements made with DOC or local councils, and what research was done into the longevity of cat colonies before this practise started taking place.
  10. There used to be a colony living in a carpark in Upper Hutt when I lived there. I believe they used to get fed by someone.
  11. Cherry barbs tank after black out and hair algae clean up. Red Walkerii crypt is doing very well. There is a bit of ambulia in the back corner in my attempt to keep some fast growing stem plants again for nutrient usage purposes.
  12. you could just take her to HFF and see what she likes maybe ...
  13. Is the fish choice supposed to be a surprise?

:spop: You could move that rock a little further in so it is part way in the red gravel and part way in the sand.
  16. !drool: !drool: I think it's just because the smaller the tank the more of a whirlpool it can become. If you can direct the outlet onto a wall it would reduce the current somewhat. A gentle swaying of the leaves is what is required I believe.
