  1. I thought so too, but I found this. But im not the brightest bulb on the xmas tree so I could be all confused.
  2. That sounds like a great idea :bounce:
  3. I wouldn't do it to them, half banded spiny eels can grow up to 30cm. Usually 15 - 25 cm in captivity though due to poor nutrition.
  4. Sorry for your loss Stella, she was a beautiful fish.
  5. They are already looking good with how many you have although 100+ would look nice in there, thats no easy task considering the price of them
  6. It was good to meet you guys, I hope you enjoyed it I'm sure your chicken misses you already
  7. Not really Well to pay for at retail price. Best school or cardinals I have ever seen was easily 1000+ looked amazing.
  8. Sounds like it could be fun 8)
  9. A bogan can't be blamed, they are a creature of the wilds. You could have said there was v8's, beer and a gnr tribute band down there..
  10. I don't think I will be putting any up on trademe for quite some time. I have had a lot of interest, thank you all. I will be using this batch to increase my numbers and get some good breeding stock myself, as well as trading for some new blood. So it will be some time still until I am ready to start selling any sorry. Will keep you all updated in this thread.
  11. bumped the overflow fitting
  12. These are a bit better.
  13. Here's a few of the fry at 5 days old.
  14. Ok I tried to get a few pics of the parents, mainly the male. Its very hard to get a picture that shows exactly how colourful he actually is, the colouring only shows up on certain angels, its very pretty though. Dad in front Mum up the back. Just Dad I'm very proud of them and I cant wait until I have enough numbers to be able to share.
  15. WOW! I want one just like the 3rd photo, nice fighters as usual Adrienne.
  16. They are doing well, I lost a few but I think they were just weak, the others that are left seem really strong and healthy. Filling up on microworms nom nom.. Best pics I could do, the tank has a reflective bottom and there is a mirror behind.
  17. It was a shocking day to say the least Anthony. I no longer have any marine tanks running cracked the tank
  18. :bounce: Congratulations Stella! :bounce: I'll have my order in for a copy as soon as possible Look forward to reading it.
  19. Lost all the last lot, I had some other fry with them and they all got eaten. Today both females have given birth, I think a lot got eaten but there are still at least 30 in the tank, all albino :bounce: :bounce: Parents have been relocated to another tank and there are no other fry so here's hoping I get a good majority of them raised.

    Reefs Reef Tank

absolutely stunning mate, makes the fact that I cracked my marine tank yesterday even more gutting.
  21. Drilled a hole, added a hansen fitting.
  22. Lots of Nano's being set up lately, so I thought I should share mine. Tank dimensions: 430x390x260 mm Lighting: 1 x T5 8W aqua red (?) Filtration: Overflow and a sump made from 60 litre fish bin, lots and lots of live rock, huge skimmer. Livestock: Odds and ends kindly donated to me, a big thanks to the guilty party. Water movement is thanks to a spray bar and a tiny power head. I plan to add a pair of Clarkii clownfish once I have a nice anemone for them to live in, and some Skunk cleaner shrimp too. There are already lots of pods so I am considering a mandarin fish over the clowns. I am also considering getting a cube made but $$$ already seems to fly out of my pockets and into someone else's. Some pics. Here is the sump, ruff as I know but works beautifully. Here are some pics of the tank and some of the stuff inside the tank. Added that new piece of rock today, I hope it doesnt take too long to blend in  The Anemone in the top right hand corner just had a fight with a big aiptasia, no more aiptasia but it doesnt look well I like this bright green spongy stuff. These worms seem to be building a home out of the coral sand. Tank has no real stand or background or anything until I know what I really know what to do with it, space is limited or I would have a larger tank but thats where the idea of the cube comes in. Could make a nice corner tank with a cube, still get some decent volume and save on a bit of space. At least this way I'm pretty much all set when I decide what to do. Open to suggestions.
