    Meet lil Zev

he looks good , he is a nice looking butterfly
  2. If you want to stick them in the pond you could try sticking some netting over the top so the kiongfishers cant get in, also there seems to be alot more fry once they hatch out than the amount of eggs that you can see, you could also go and get a plastic storage container from somewhere like briscoes/ the warehouse and then get a small air pump and sponge filter and trasfer the eggs + water from the tank there currently in???
  3. I got two yesterday that are currently around the 4cm mark, they are more yellow than other colours and have faint black smudges on there cheeks and a faint orange stripe down the middle the back of there fin kind of protudes a bit but is not pointed so :-? :-? any help is apreciated

    3 foot tank

its looking alright (I CAN SEE ALGAE ), So whats the plant in the back?? its some kind of rotola..... and whats the string for??
  10. it's barley straw , I think its filamentous algae its caused by excessive nutrients (you can tell by pulling it apart which is similar to wet wool) try getting copper sulfate, dissolve it in water then spray it directly onto the floating algae with a plastic spray bottle (it corrodes metal) although its toxic to goldfish so it might not be an option http://ohioline.osu.edu/a-fact/pdf/A_3_09.pdf have a read though this as well
  11. there looking good and the blalck/green ones sound interesting

    First Spawn

Yes, take the girl out once that have 'done the deed' and take the father out once they start to swim horizontal, this is also when you start to feed them HTH

    HM PK X HM

Crossing a hm with a hmpk gives stronger branching (which is required for HM's) to the fish alough im not sure about tail lengths but i think that pk is recessive to the delta tails :-? HTH

    Banana Lilies

Well it looks like one of these will do alright in my 2fter then thanks for that site as well
  16. If you have a girl, stick her in a container and he will flare at her or a mirror, Deltas, super deltas and Halfmoons are all extensions of the same tail type so would be best to breed together also dont breed deltas with veil tails as veil tails are dominant over other tail types

    feeding fry

Bath tubs help to grow live food to feed lotsa fish , i.e daphnia/small critters Or he means that you can stick 500 babies in a bathtub inside with a heater :-?

    Banana Lilies

Do you know where I could get one from ??
  22. I saw them is Aus when i was there and was wondering if we can get them here?? they send leaves up to the surface and have a bulb like thing at the base of it
  23. I managed to condition mine on that, but try to make the blood worms seem 'live' (get some tweezers and make them chase it), When you put them back in your other tank they kinda get a bit depressed for a few days so it might be wise to seperate them good luck with breeding them
