Hello everyone My guppy is covered in like white flaky bits, and she is swimming very weirdly, like rocking around as she moves... I have dosed the tank with blue meths, but my question is, what do i do about water changes once i have dosed the tank? Do i leave it for a week? Thanks

Well she when up and out the pipe, kinda like Augustus Gloop in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' but then to add to the trama i scooped her out and put her back into the tank. I then continued to pour a bucket of fresh water right on top of her... ( not really thinking about what i was doing) Just going out on a limb here but : stress + ph change + temp change = death... ? :-? Lesson of the day : dont multi task

Well on the topic of fish / death.. I have just killed my 1st guppy... I was doing a water change and i looked away for just a second.. need i say anymore

I guess you could find out, but at the end of the day if the fish are healthy, and you like the way YOUR tank looks who gives a damn what anyone else thinks?!? Good luck and if you do find that your tank is stocked appropriately, dont hold back when telling those 'pros' where to get off !! hahaha :lol: :lol:

That actually makes sense, I mean why let the fry die if they could just be removed from the mother. But im not so shure i really could bring myself around to doing it :-? i would prob. just vomit

I have had this Guppy for about 4 months. she started showing signs of pregnancy for about 40-50 days and im starting to worry - she looks huge! and has been that way for about 20-30 days. Her color has started fading from a deep purple to a much lighter shade. And her tail and anal fins have turned white... :-? :-? Also i have noticed her lapping at the surface after all the food has gone. But it isnt like she is gulping for air, so it might not be related... Duno X/ HELP

Haha Me too! I woke up and looked at the tank and all over the glass were eggs. But they all got eaten now -
I have been experiencing a similar problem with my female guppy's. There fins are not popped out, but they are well over due to give birth. Absolutely HUGE! :-?
