  1. I like those But yea, i do want the burst of colour and deffinatly want lots of activity! haha I also like the contrast of color, with the "African soup " That you suggested ^^ Yea, i dont like them as much , i have seen a few but doesnt really float my boat :lol:

  3. Could i really put that many in there?!?!? wow As with the rock work , i will definitely add more. Those rocks in the photos were the ones left over from the previous tank
  4. Africans i think. Im probs WAY off the mark here, in terms of availability, but here a few i like : Lemon Cichlid Powder Blue Cichlid Melanochromis johannii Demason's Cichlid -really like these! Sunshine Peacock Electric Yellow Jewel Cichlid Orange Chromide

Im converting!! i have decided spice things up, and im getting all set up for Cichlids ^^ :bounce: Its my 140L tank, I brought Silica sand from placemakers, and spend AGEs cleaning it!! holy cow, it was full of random orange bits and odd pieces of paper and today i also brought Java Fern, I keept the rocks, which i want to attach it to. B4 and After pics Colorful, yea, but crowded and old :.. / No fish yet What would you recommend?

  8. Oh thats great, thanks for your help! I have just called them and the silica sand comes in 40kg bags, $34 ea and they have 50 + in stock

  11. oh right, so those are both sands u collected ? The silica sand pics i have seen seem alot whiter and softer looking. I think ill have a drive up to placemakers tomo and see if they have any, i've worked out ill need 27.9 kgs ^^ Cheers

    Has anyone in wellington brought silica sand ? or an equitant, if so where did u get it? I have looked on trademe and it seems to be horribly expensive to get 26Kg's of it shipped. Cheers

  21. My Guppy had just spawned about 30 fry, and i have now put them in an old 60L with a sponge filter and a heater, and today they are all swimming around!! :bounce: Yay! haha, just thought i would share
