  1. Looking awesome man, building tanks this big becomes so much more of a project I'd imagine. Comapred to the last 'big' tank you did was there anything you did differently?
  2. The true ST has a a deeper body too, far more solid from what I have seen in pics. Easy to distinguish when they are massive. I had a widebar indo back in the day as well, regretted selling it.
  3. You had one? Prior to your big sell up? I'd say 'robust' is an accurate term for them. There's a few a HFF Albany and they are tiny.
  4. Value goes in this order: ST, NGT, NTT, INDO/American. ST's are hard to find anywhere, go for like 1500 pounds in UK.
  5. Wrong. American tiger was also here. I had one. So did henward.
  6. One of the best 'Monster' fishes here.
  7. Haha. What are you getting at David? That henward isn't in peak condition?
  8. Cheap part for keeping aros is the fish (asian aros excluded), expensive part is the tank. Size is money lol.

100% regular jack dempsey. As for the sex it's a bit too young to tell. Usually more blue on the face = female. Pointed fins = male.
  10. Would be much more appealing if you tried to develop the Thai silk strain of flowerhorn. They look great in all blue.
  11. I hear there are plenty in africa... :digH:
  12. Nice! I know which bloodlines I got off you haha. Your first male would look even better if the black colours were deeper.
  13. Tank's gonna have some quality stocking!
  14. What catfish are you referring to? Something other than plecs?
  15. FH = nice. Parrot = retarded. Never understood the appeal. Henward likes them though, better to cross a FH with something that has a proper body.
  16. Well I'd say the primary ways of converting a tank to blackwater would be the addition of acidic compounds/acidity releasing objects. What you suggest sounds like a PH harlem shake, probs not good for fishums.
  17. Eel on pellets is great, easier to feed.
  18. No idea haha. Buy a small eel, raise on bloodworms for a bit. Then try to convert to prawn and pellets if possible as size permits.
  19. Must be doing something wrong, they easily grow past that size.
  20. Tyre track will get too big. You should see pics of henwards old beast. 70+cm. Ctenopoma will be fine in that tank. All the species of bichir except ornate will be fine. Smaller eel varieties. Pantadon butterfly fish. Chocolate cats. More pictus the better. Black ghost knife. Got some choices.
  21. Getting the itch to keep datnoids again, just wondering who has them at the moment and show pics if you do! Anyone have both the american tiger and indo tiger right now?
