  1. Direct the outlet of your filter upwards so it creates surface movement.
  2. Poor wee Bud, i am hoping he'll have a quick recovery. Hmm i have a lorikeet and they love anything sweet that disguizes tastes, so not too sure on how to get the meds into bud. Is he still drinking? maybe try putting some meds into a small amount of water? but i'm afraid you may just have to force the meds into him, I had to do that to my lory and I know it's not nice having to do it.
  3. they will be proberly be ok at that size but no smaller than 2cm and make sure there plently of hiding spots for them. But like Ira said depends on the size of the discus mouth.
  4. Yes it will eat a bristlenose that small, i'd wait till it's alittle bigger

the LFS down here only have the ugly picture backing, i will have a look next time i'm in there. But even the background is hard to put on nicely i have used it before and once water is spilt down the back it's ruined - is there a special way to put it on to stop that?

the tank will be hard up against a wall. what sort of paint did you use? my hubby asked the painter at his work about painting glass and he said any type of paint - in time - will crack and peel, thats why i don't really go that way. i was thinking maybe that stuff you use to cover books? or yes some sort of card board, but using card might go funny if water spills down it?

i see, thanks for that smidey. has anyone tried it on tanks before. I don't really want to go with painting the tank so looking at other options. Do they do a black background? I just thought this way would be better as you'll get a better finish

Sorry should also add .. what does the 35% mean, is it a darker tint? would 35% be darker enough?

  13. I was in there yesterday and it looks amazing - you've done a excellent job P44 :bounce: :bounce:
  14. Hi, shrimp is good - but you should try getting them on pellet food as it has all the goodness that they need and cheaper to feed them on Also try thinly slicing ox heart (remove ALL fat), they will love that to - and that puts weight on them fast
  15. LOL lucky that big leaf was there, or the puddy will be getting a wet tail
  16. hey there, you proberly don't want to be feeding them on bloodworm all the time - try getting them onto pellet foods or raw prawns my dats love the stuff yesterday i feed them mussels and they looked so cool trying to eat them. Bloodworms aren't very nutrital (sp?) so the dats won't grow on them.

  21. you can also feed them chopped up ox heart, shrimps/prawns, worms - my dats eat anything - hikari cichlid gold, flake feeder fish (every now and then)
  22. Hi, it will sit in your outbox untill the person you've sent it to has opened it
  23. My royal whiptail tries to latch on to the discus but i have never seen any of my BN's try to
  24. increasing the temp only speeds up the life cycle of the whitespot - so quicker to treat.
  25. The white spot tonic will stain your silca sand but only the top layer after treatment it can be stirred up and you won't notice the staining.
