  1. Ah... that may be so. But can you "teach and old dog this new trick?"
  2. What can I say. WCMM has to be one of the easiest and cheapest fish to breed.
  3. I would go with the flow and say cories as well
  4. Another problem is that the kids need to go to school the following morning. we don't normally finish our meeting till around 9.30, and my kids go to bed around 8.00pm So that ain't gonna work either.
  5. That could of worked Caryl, if I had not gone out last night to celebrate her birthday
  6. Yay, once again my Jags have laid eggs. This time twice as much eggs than last time. anyone here bred them? any tips you can provide me in order to get as many fry to survive as I can? Is it best to syphon out the free swimming fry into their own tank and fed BBS? I will also place a big sponge on the filter intake to reduce the amount of fry getting sucked in.
  7. There really has not been that many WCMM being registered for breeding. As Caryl has said, GBA's seem to have a lot of registrations.
  8. Sorry Guys I won't be able to make it to this months meeting. Wife's birthday on Tuesday, those who are married or in a long term relationship know where I stand, or could end up sleeping if I am not home for that. I will however endeavour to make a cake and have it at the meeting. Cheers Wok
  9. Pretty much as supasi said. but an even simpler method is. 1 x Tank 1 x HOB Filter (Hang On Back) 3 x Indian fern plants. (can be left floating) Some Gravel for the bottom of the tank. Method Add gravel to bottom of tank fill tank with water Get Filter going Place Indian Fern on top of water Add Fish. Sit Back and wait for fry. .... Oh and feed fish on a regular basis. Done. note: If you see green water, leave it. The fry will love you for it, and the indian fern will use up the nutrients that make the water green as they grow so you will have clear water soon enough You can place the tank on a window sill as well. No need to do water changes either. Just rinse the filter media when you notice the flow has decreased considerably.

  16. My heaters are on an angle, so that they fit in the tank. I also position my heaters near the filter outlet pipe so that the heated water gets pushed throughout the tank.
