  1. Received. But behind in getting the information into computer
  2. Hi All Next Tuesday is another great meeting of people of similar thinking. Just letting you know that we do have a meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. If you live over the shore and want to attend, you are more than welcome Next meeting will be: Time: 7.30pm When: Tuesday 13 October 2009 Where: Green Bay Community House Barron Drive Green Bay Behind New World Supermarket Park in the new carpark on Barron Drive and the meeting is right next door There will be a number of items that need to be discussed 1. Meeting Venue 2. See who is keen to go on Waikatos tank crawl so we hope to see you there. I will be at this months meeting.
  3. the young are doing quite well. around 1cm long now. another month and they will be perfect
  4. email it to me now, and I will match it up with the original when your club coordinator sends it to me. and you will receive your certificate at your next meeting.
  5. As long as the tank only contains WCMM you should not have any issues with the fish eating eggs.
  6. for the slow breeding fish, as long as you can identify 10 children of the parents from the last breeding to bring it up to the number required, you can register them. ie. 1st breeding (in February) only 5 fry survive the 30 days. 2nd Breeding (in September) another 5 fry, then you have a total of 10 fry for the same parents you do your registration based on the final spawning and use those dates on your breeding form. and as long as the initial 5 fry and the parents are there, you can register. simple. This caters for the fish that don't breed as much as something like jags or convicts
  7. Just giving everyone a heads up to have their breedings registered ASAP. I will be compiling all the Breeding certificates this weekend. Those that do not arrive before the end of the weekend will need to wait for another month or 3. So get your breedings in, and tell your breeding coordinator. cheers Wok
  8. Looks like nice meaty rabbit, not too much fat i hope  How heavy is the rabbit? anyone got a nice casserole recipe?
  9. Try NZI insurance. they were the cheapest for me. and cheaper than the insurance company that I use for my house and house and contents insurance. So combining insurance to one company is not necessarily cheaper.
  10. Beauty and the Beast I Swear by All for one unchained Melody
  11. I use the scourers from the $2 shop and the like, I think that their plastic scourers aren't as harsh as the supermarket ones, and you can buy them in bulk
  12. I would go with a hilux as a learning car.... as others have said, it is indestructable. and you can put any road kill in the back. or parts of the vehicle that happen to fall off when you hit something..
  13. Zev, with that pointy stick of yours, anything is possible
  14. I will be in Napier in Labour weekend. and coming back up on Monday..... so could drop them off at either Taupo, Tokoroa, putaruru, tirau, cambridge or Hamilton, for someone to take it across to Tauranga. Don't know if this helps or not
  15. Great to hear about your interest Jarren I hope the WCMM got to you in good condition. They were good when I gave them to Zev. If I had known earlier that you were after some Indian fern, I could of chuck a couple handful of the stuff int he bag too. Oh... since it has been quite a while...... got any fry yet?
  16. Finally got round to fitting my new filter in the sink yesterday. After having to go out and purchase some thread tape to stop some leaking from the connections, everything is all go, however have noticed that there is a small leak somewhere, need to check it out when I get home after work. Well the first time I turned on the tap, a whole lot of black stuff came out, so I am assuming that it is carbon, hence no Chlorine. THat should answer Alanmin4304 questions.
  17. If it is truly a male then yes. Good luck on raising the eggs. I didn't have too good a luck at severums. think other fishes ate them
  18. Ok... Fry are now free swimming, and mum and dad are still watching over them. What do I need to feed the fry with? currently feeding the parents pellets
  19. must use some form of witchery Alanmin? Thanks dimebag, will give it a shot and see what happens, if nothing changes, well visibly changes then it will be back to tap water for the fish
  20. It was a standard underbench do it yourself kit must admit, didn't check to see what it took out, but this is what is on their website 1 micron cartridge which effectively removes & protects against……. Chlorine, Pesticides, Herbicides, Chemicals, Asbestos, Giardia, Cryptosporidium, Sediment, Rust, Heavy Metals, controls bacteria growth, reduces lime reduction, taste & odour. so, what do you think?
  21. Exactly what I wanted to say. Well, at least you can now do water changes in the middle of the night, since you will be up anyway  Was it a water birth? If so, another 9 more and you can register them as a breeding
  22. Ok.... I spent most of last week and the weekend at the Auckland Home show and somehow bought myself a water filter for the kitchen Does anyone here use filtered water for their water changes? If so, what are the effects on the fish and pH if any?
  23. If you have quite steep or hilly sections you need to mow, then 2 stroke motors are the way to go. If you have a flat lawn, then 4 strokes are great. Go for Alloy lawn mower bodies as they don't rust.
  24. Congrats... ... now where are the pics?
