we always get a good mix of males and females here in palmy, and assuming the stores use the same suppliers (which they do) - you should get some nice ones out there.... just takes some looking around...
  3. that sucks... how about thursday? my after exams treat is cleaning my tank, so if you come then, ill have my hands in the tank, and i can catch him then...
  4. the real deal? :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: That's awesome! when do you want nemo? my last exam is on thursday.

  7. nth (as in the nth root of a number) terrestrial
  8. you've got this guy's (voldemort) brother, lol... best of luck finding females, ive been looking since i got him... the suppliers won't let them go, as they are not on the order list =( this dude refuses to make bubble nests though, so make sure yours does, lol... haha :bounce:
  9. nth (mathematical terms allowed???)
  10. you can buy it.... not sure how much it costs but the product name is "exo terra sand" you get white, red, black and someother weird colour. I'm going to be using red in one of my nano's and black in another.
  11. add some salt to that water just for good measure.... a tea spoon will do the trick
  12. ID Move them to a new tank that has a lot of stress coat in it already.. u can put some on them when you are moving them from one tank to the other.
  13. stress coat... and lots of it.... depends on how and which fish are affected too.. panda's are relatively expensive, so best to save them all. v regular water changes are also needed... you can directly put Stresscoat on the affected fish when it is in the water... i removed my goldnugget and poured some on him... he was soon fine.
  14. these are my fish when they got this chemical burn.. look closely at the fins, and the white burn around the body. if yours looks similar then the course of action you are taking is correct.. flourish is a wonderful product, but too much of it is devastating.
  15. this is related to flourish.... its happened to 2 times in the past as well... what you want to do is a huge water change, and use stresscoat or something like that. its chemical burn on the fish....caused my an overdose or direct exposure of flourish on the wee fish... don't mean to scare you.. but the first time this happened to me I lost 6 discus, and the second time i lost 900worth of fish including all my fancy plecos.... it was after that, i realised it was too much flourish. don't medicate too much, but after the h20 change, add a tiny amount of meth blue and a tiny amount of furan in the water - this is to make sure they do not get disease since they have lost their slimy coating... let me know how it goes... ive managed to rescue clown loaches with this so it is possible...
  16. wear thick rubber gloves and gumboots, lol.. you'll be safe as... lol.. then again, if you don't think you can wire it, get someone who knows how to do it, and make them wire it for you...... lol zapping yourself isn't very nice... I was knocked out for about 20 minutes when i was a kid.... i used to love playing with wires, lol... (still do)... =)
