number 3 sounds like tetra colour bits or something pretty similar... is it?

what is the K rating on the bulb? and jeepers that's a lot of light for a 54L tank - what are its dimensions? a 150W MH is pretty bright, so some plants may not like all that light. need to know how high the tank is though (water level).

that's a very nice article diver. but that's for t8's. t5's are different in that they do not have that choke and starters for the tube. mine have a circuit board.dunno if it will work though. I may try what the article says on a t8 sometime.

the older the fronts get - the more graceful and elegant their movements become. quite a cool fish really :bounce: PS- I like that Ice Blue too
