  1. ah. ye olde euroview 76 aye? i love those tanks - i had one my self. it was fantastic. get t5's man. and make one of the tanks a rimless tank with the glass covers taken off -and use the clamps to hoist the light above the water. will look so awesome. and the plants!!!!!!! i have it all planned out haha
  2. dont knock them out, lol. use sedapet if you have to - its homeopathic and will make them calm down, and sleep.
  3. Nooo.. plants are good. jungle tanks are the best. but as long as you have enough lighting, nutrient to sustain the plants you should be fine.
  4. 2 females? lucky dude... hope you get lots and lots of babies.
  5. HA HA.. lol  nitrates are about 5 ppm :bounce: phosphates - I dunno but all the algae is being eaten and i have no problems with that - GAE and bristlenose are very hard workers. helping muchly?
  6. how often should I do waterchanges on the tank? at the moment im doing a third every week without fail - but since its technically a bare bottom tank; should i be doing those changes more often?
  7. powerglo's. the marine blue lamps are provide an awesome effect on the plants, if you have brighter lights on at the same time - like powerglos or something. if used on their own at night - they make the plants look like they have an eerie radioactive glow to them. quite cool really. the greens look greener under the blue light. and then some plants start flowering like mental if you expose them to that light at the right times etc...
  8. I used the 18000K tubes on my planted tank, and the results were amazing! I swear by them now. for lighting at night- i use a dull marine blue - that way i can see my plecos come out and play
  9. not available here just as yet. its a neat tank but there are a couple of issues - like a limited space on top for you to put ornaments in etc. and plain halogen bulbs so only good for low light plants. I suspect these may make it here, after (and only if) they sell well in other countries.
  10. NIce! all those V shapes make me very happy indeed. your clowns look so happy and healthy! :bounce:
  11. caching!!!!!!!!!! :bounce: :bounce:  good going! awesome stuff!
  12. modification of the tank would void its warranty.
  13. they can only be as good as the person who supplied them to me
  14. oh. you mean the dotty stuff? best to scrub that off with a green scouring pad.
  15. Health snack for the day. They even got some multivitamins today! :bounce: The yellows are growing a lot faster than the dems. I thought it would have been the other way around.
  16. I have one and it works well. but its really really old, and is rusted and has incredibly strong magnets, and does not float. but it's awesome. have you tried getting fish that eat algae?
  17. you can use poly if you want, but the base can go without. there are ppl who have had erm "issues" with their tanks breaking but ive worked with these tanks for several years now, and sold hundreds of them - none have ever broken. have you read the manual?
  18. that sun bear is soooooo adorable! makes you want to go to him and squidge his cheeks.
  19. +1 for Y connectors. but then remember that the flow maybe uneven as water, like air will travel along the easiest path - so you may need flow regulators on each diverted path. keep tinkering with them until you get the flow you need.
  20. but she will be on your shoulder  :bounce: or you could come to palmy for our next meeting! :bounce:
