they are total doofbags, lol.. wont harm any thing. have been good with plants in my old planted tank. will get on with all your fish. and by get on i mean they wont bother them.

it has the wow- factor. in reality the lights are not suited to growing plants, and only plants like java fern, crypts, and maybe some sag species will survive. the tanks are not too large - they capture the nano market. the tanks are accessible from that little box on top of the tank. it comes off to reveal a lighting uni with 2 halogens, and a HOB filter. remove them and there is a small square where you can fit your hand in. the oxygen problem does not exist as the HOB filter does its job and creates flow, and exposes a certain amount of water to the air. i can imagine having problems if the tank was overstocked, or in the case of a prolonged power cut. The best thing is that it looks different; and we like different. and you can get them in different colours. a bit like those old imac's in colours. totally useless, but were so different that they were amazingly popular!

you have to keep trimming it where the light does not reach apparently. such an awesome plant though. will make your tank look even better! how are the plants coming along now?

yeah.. mamma sheep were not happy. :oops: lol it was a terrible concoction that involved a litre of vodka, some rum, bacardi, few shots... by the end of it my friends were experimenting on me. turns out i can still go bowling and get a strike. only if i go bowling with my head. ouch muchly... lol.. carpet burn. never again. im usually the responsible one. then there is the slightly drunk incident. i become all mother goose like, and take my blanket to the streets and rescue people in need. lots of people are scared of a tall dark dude running towards them with a blanket apparently. :lol:

Oh for crying out loud. Of the hundreds of people that did read his thread - everyone (well almost so it seems) seemed to automatically know that his comment referred to killifish - you know... given that its in the killifish section and all, and a huge range of killifish are annuals. and given the term "annual" meaning year and all - it doesn't take a nuclear physicist to put 2 and 2 together. Not really. If i was on an island with no food, and nothing to eat at all - genetically I would eat him for survival. they did a similar test with chimps.... shoved a mother with her kids in a cement tank, and slowly filled it with water. initially the mother held her baby above the water, and then when it came to survival the mother shoved the kid under her and jumped on it to get higher to the top. such behaviour for survival is genetic - and it ensures the survival of a species. He got dunked in the tank once. his fault really - didn't notice the lids were off and he walked straight in. he was pretty disgusted, so he pooped on the angel fish when he got out.

Today I decided to hatch some Brine Shrimp for my wee little fishies. Don't have ocean water as no one from the oceans are coming to palmy :lol:. so i made some at home. found a thin-ish plastic bottle chopped half of it off and shoved the air stone in it, in the tank. ANDDDD... guess who I found lurking about

he just wants to see the fish but refuses to drive ALL the way there. make him walk :lol: :lol: :lol:
