Fluvals are soooo good though! I've been using the 05 series for years and never once have had a problem. Tubes are good, parts are cheap and flow rate is excellent and they come with an excellent warranty.

You guys are being so childish about this! You invited this guy into your house and gave a total novice your tank to take care of and then when the fish die you want to sue him? How ridiculous is that? It's going to make even people on here think 10 times before they volunteer help when you need it! And you don't have a contract here because the party in question had no intention or knowledge of there being a contract and had no intention to be bound to a contract.

Java fern does well. You don't seem to have much luck with it though, but it does really well even with only natural light.

Firemouths love digging up sand! The ones I had ages ago dug and dug and dug! They made decoy holes and laid eggs in one of them. Not sure how they would react to a larger substrate though.

DOn't think it will work with a debit card, and it's not upto the bank to charge it. It's upto the company charging you - Apple in this case.

A debit hold only lasts for 5 working days and then it pops off. But they can charge you upto the whole amount whilst the funds are held against your credit limit.
