  1. add more ferts and the green spot will vanish. I no longer get it any more.
  2. I've packed the plants just about now, and will send them off tomorrow. Should be there on tue / wed. Look out for an eheim box!
  3. It is an image dimension restriction, so as long as you put 3-4 images in one post, you won't get that error.
  4. what sort of wood is it? It could be the sap from just inside the bark.
  5. Most lorracids have that. just is the eye.
  6. tried it, couldn't do it  that's intense.
  7. Lady browns that came in 3 years ago. Not wild, but when they bar up they look nice. Closer to the wild strains, much like the red rose. (I'm almost certain we've had this same convo Amy  )
  8. if you can find them, yeah.
  9. If the tubes are not new, I would replace the whole lot with powerglos which are brighter and do wonders for plants. Depends on what 620T you have. Some have a PL tube fitting and some have 3x T8s which are much much better. If you don't have theT8s then the T5HO lights are great. If you run a canister filter you should be able to remove the trickle system and fit the 2ft HO lights just there. Again, shell out money for the power glo tubes.
  10. They look totally different. Have a read through my thread. viewtopic.php?f=32&t=44400 Care for dwarf puffers (malabar) is slightly different.
  11. For female red eye puffers - you can have 4 -5 max in a 70L tank or so. But with males, one is all that you can have. The males are terribly agro. you need to have a totally sealed tank with no chance of them jumping out if you have more than one male in the tank. In 68L tank with about 4f and 1m - I lost them all but the male who systematically harassed and thew the females out the tank that had standard glass lids. Females are great to set up a species tank for; males not so much.
  12. The API tabs are great. Just make sure they never come in contact with the water in your tank directly! (apart from when you plant them). Will cause MAJOR algae issues. Great for growing green water though. Keep us updated though. To get nice looking plants, usually lighting is the first thing I recommend looking at, and then ferts.
  13. yeah, I've got flexible fingers. Can twist them in all sorts of ways
  14. No, lol.. I'll be good. I'll be talking and demo-ing lights any how so as long as someone keeps rusty entertained so he does not talk to me when I am talking it'll be all fun and games.
  15. Ngaw! If you were on FB you'd have seen it a week ago!
  16. Won't work if the KH of the water is too high I think. There is a GH and KH warning associated with snail rid. Don't remember what it is though...
  17. mmmm L018. Did you order it as a Queen GN?
  18. me? I don't have any thing to do with the Waikato club, but if you wanted to join you'd just email Simian and ask. If you want to join central fishkeepers  then you let me know  Scottie - Initially it was just Sandra, who then got ryan, mel and myself in too and then simon and everyone else. Any how we don't count as you have to be a member for 1 year for a reading on %change in membership.
