HI All, Message board at http://poecilia.net.nz is live. For those of you who were there yesterday : I worked on it a little late last night, messed it up, got it back to normal. If you enter it today again it may initially not load properly (depending on browser version, because of stale stylesheets, cookies etc). Just refresh/reload. So, what's happening there at the moment. You'll see a new club being born. At moment we're taking nominations for 'jobs to do, postions to fill'. Perhaps have a vote if required later. A lot of ideas floating around there at moment. Cees

Ok, I have created a message board on http://poecilia.net.nz/ . I needed to test a new script anyway and this could be a good place for it. 1) you need to log in with your poecilia.net.nz username and password here http://poecilia.net.nz/index.php?id=7 . (FNZAS and poecilia.net.nz usernames are not linked) 2) please note the following. Anyone can register and anyone registered can than see that message board. registration approval is automatic at moment. I think the first point of business should be a discussion about membership and whether and how to convert registration (of interested) to 'membership'. Cees

Ok guys slow down, Most of it is my fault. Was getting excited about getting livebearer club up and running and was getting ahead of myself (again). Set up website etc etc. Then stuff happened (bad back, software upgrade etc) and now looks like we have a broken website, poor communication and no club. Not sure where to go from here now. Cees

How to link to images in the forum article on the fnzas site. or, post a new topic in the members tank forum and you can upload images to the fnzas site. I'm guessing you can then link to these in the other fishroom forums as well using the method described above. Cees

It's a compromise. I am trying to keep everyone happy (not always easy). Ideally I'd prefer you all do as suggested here http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/viewtopic.php?t=3880 and than everyone can be happy. Fast loading pages and still clickable links to large photos. So much easier. Yes you can. Tell your browser not to run the javascripts.

Yes, I do disagree strongly. Erythromycin works on the blue-green algae and this is not algae but bacteria. Last resort though. I once got some from a friendly vet. It knocked back the whole tank and it was almost as starting all over. The green hair algae can not and should not be treated with antibiotics ...

not a pro. Before you start 'adjusting' the photos calibrate your monitor. What looks good on your monitor might be terrible on someone elses. search google for callibrate monitor one site e.g. http://pages.prodigy.net/ecmorris/tips/monitor.htm

Welcome to the fishroom. For starters you might find this useful http://www.fnzas.org.nz/beginnersguide.0.html Search e.g. goole with 'aquarium beginners guide' and you'll find a few links (including the above one) in the first set of resutls. Join a club. Ask questions here and, get the biggest tank you think you can afford. Large tanks are easier to maintain than small tanks. Cees
