my one has brown algae and green algae near the top but metal halides will do that it does look good though makes it look more natural i havent had any problems with the concrete raising the ph and the only thing i sealed mine with was acrylic paint

better yes but still have their own problems like liking lots of current and they arent really a tropical nor coldwater fish i would say temperate 18-22 so still ideally want a heater for them too -
i run a cf2200 and a jebo 819 on my 5fter. forget about the 819 wont be much good on its own cf2200 (or two of as suggested) would work awesome try petmart.co.nz they have them cheap and with discounted postage

as far as food goes mate its better to go buy a decent brand, than the supermarket stuff your fish will thank you for it you will notice increased colour and cleaner water conditions with a better food

some of the strange behaviours of fish interest me im sort of looking for something a lil diferent for my next project i dont know if this fish will be for me as i understand the importance of breeding killifish and i wouldnt want to mess it up

meridan's source's feed the national grid, so do the non renewable sources owned by other companies. so it really doesnt matter which power company your with, your getting a mixture of electricity from nonrenewable sources and renewable . its just a play on words to get customers. the only way around it is to generate your own electricity

flourish excel isnt a nutrient supplemnt its to add carbon to your tank in a form that plants can use quickly -amazing stuff especially in a small tank as it goes quite far

i brought a blue planet hexi mini (5.7l) for my fighter on the back it says suitable for up to 4 goldfish and its marketed by people who should know better. i got rid of the filter and added a small broken external filter run off a small powerhead hidden by one of those filter intake tree stumps (the heater is also inside this) this makes the total water capacity about 7l with around 700ml bionoodles in the filter still would not put a goldfish in this

javamoss will grow up out of the water over rock or wood as long as its moist. peace lilys will grow just in water, no soil but the leaves have to be out of the water

can you elaborate? i want cheap 1s by the way i brought fake rock containers from mitre10 and planted my broms in spagnum moss so it stays moist works gud as in my frog tank

hmm its unusual... my fig8 and bumblebee gobies dont seem to notice each other nor do the mollies . maybe put the BBs into another tank until the puffer settles in then add them one at a time and watch the results

i looked at mine it has 2x 8w t5s , that are about a foot long not a pl bulb so a spare yellowish looking tube from bunnings less then $10 or a proper aquarium colour temperature bulb from the lfs should be less than $20 just ask fror an 8Watt tube ull be sweet -
