  1. Sure they did. The money you're paying isn't for approval of the application, if it was it would be called a bribe. The payment is for examination of the application, any impact studies they need to do(In addition to what you have to provide). Then they can reject it.
  2. Looks like it still needs panelling around it and doors. :slfg:
  3. Unless you have a good line on someone wanting them you should never plan on "Selling when they get too big." Even if they're very small a 15L is too small for them. I have buckets bigger than 15L.
  4. Yeah, that'll be fine. As long as everything is all properly glued and screwed together. If there's a quake strong enough to collapse that a bit of flooding probably is the least of your worries.
  5. 50% weekly... Ok, that's my goal, if I'm busy or lazy it sometimes goes an extra week or two.
  6. 4 meters, I don't think I'd have anywhere to put that. I'd go with schools of kokopu, redfin bullies and spend most of the money on big pumps to give it a bit of current and insulation to keep the cooling cost down.
  7. That would be redundant given the L, G and B. And probably slightly offensive?
  8. I'd have done it for them for half that!

    Fish Identity?

When I search using google image search it's 3 of the first 10 results, and the first 2 on the web search(Last result on the page is a thread here on the Fishroom) Aren't common names and individualized search results great?
  10. What kind of advice do you want? I'd use a pair of 1500-2000lph powerheads.
  11. There may be a few around, they're not an allowed import anymore, how big is your pond?
  12. Appears so, Hollywood fish farm's website lists the O-rings and other parts for the 1200 as compatible with the 650. http://www.hollywoodfishfarm.co.nz/detail/view/aqua-one-aquis-cf1000-canister-o-ring-10699/m/1194/
  13. Take one male, one female, add lots of water and hiding places. Wait. Common and GBA are bred the same, they're the same species(About, they're all mostly mutts)
  14. Most people use, I believe, cloudy ammonia. It's pure ammonia...Well, not pure ammonia ammonia and water, but no additives like soaps, etc.
  15. Not going to be wild caught because there are no wild freshwater rays in NZ. Many things it could have been, but a stingray is not one of them. Go back and knock on the door, introduce yourself and ask what it was.

    Drift wood

    Put a rock on them.
  17. * Required fields - Does your water contain chlorine?* No - Do you use a dechlorinator?* No - Do you know where your water comes from, The sky if so do you know the average levels (eg residual chlorine) in your water supply? 97% water, 2%leaves, 1% bug guts (EG. Mine comes from Ardmore and Waikato, and according to the 2013 Water Report their averages are, in mg/L, 1.10, 0.95 and 0.97) - How old is your tank? Approx 12 years - Does your use of dechlorinator change based on the "maturity" of the tank? No
  18. Pretty much classic glass cat behavior. Also they're schooling so really you should have about 3 times as many of them...Same goes for most of your fish, actually. You have far too few.
  19. Too bad we don't have a way of calculating glass thickness, and if there were it would be great to have it on the site...OH WAIT: http://www.fnzas.org.nz/?page_id=1635 :slfg: For a 1.1 safety factor(Just barely not breaking) you need 12mm. 16mm gets you almost 2. 3.8 is a commonly suggested factor to account for earthquakes, brats banging on it, etc. And that would require 22mm. The length front to back is totally irrelevant, it doesn't effect the forces on the front or back panes.
  20. I've heard occasional claims of leaks with CF1200s. I think they've all been user error.
