  5. One of my first was a L014 goldie/sunshine plec. They have great colouring, are easy enough to keep and are relatively common so not too expensive. More info on this link. http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/sp ... ies_id=161
  6. Thanks again for your input and information. I was saddened and shocked to hear of your recent violation. Please don't let it stop you from posting on this site. Your knowledge is invaluable to people like myself who aspire to follow in your footsteps. By the way all of the plecs that I got from your are thriving

  8. A mate is in ch-ch and saw a blue spot plec that I might get him to grab for me. It has no L number and is described as being brown/grey with iridescent blue spots over its entire body. It has bristles on its nose so I suppose its a member of the ancistrus family. Can anyone give me more info on this plec or direct me to a photo. I have heard of a few of these in the shops lately. Cheers

  10. Sorry for the hijack but I just got a 20cm fire eel today and was wondering if he would be ok with a 25cm ornate for a week or two. Or will the ornate choke on the eel and i loose both??
  11. I had thought of that side of it. You did explain it nicely. I would call it more of a tendency to be outspoken or even loud mouthed
  12. That is sooo... interesting. Being a sag myself but not really into horoscopes etc, I wonder why sag's are over represented in this poll?
  13. This is getting beyond a joke. Where have the rules been broken in this case??? There was no links attached. I am genuinaly interested in the product and wanted members feedback before i decide to purchase. Perhaps a list of what we are allowed to talk about should be a sticky

  21. Extract from www.thereeftank.com An integral part of a sump is the "overflow". The overflow is the mechanism that drains water into the sump from the display tank. The overflow resides in or "hangs on" the display tank in a fixed position so that any water that rises above that level in the tank "overflows" through the drain into the sump. This is how the water level remains constant in the display tank. A wonderful side effect of using an overflow to drain water into a sump is that the surface of the water is constantly skimmed, removing undesirable surface films from the tank. This improves gas exchange with the water surface and aids in boosting oxygen levels and lowering CO2 within the tank. Also, not having the surface of your tank look like pond scum is a good thing, don't you agree?
  22. The box at the back of the tank in this link is an overflow http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j82/l ... /front.jpg
