Do you place any relevance to the fact the males seem to have a square tail shape opposed to the females with a rounder tail?
Hey Ryan, I am just curious as to why you are so certain that the bottom fish is a male ?
Head shape? Anal fin ?
I have always had trouble sexing these guys
I had a few a while back, they all died of unknown causes while in quarantine so I didn't have them long enough to get to know their habits etc.

It may take Frontosa just as long to mature as L046 Ryan but once they are mature they are easier to breed and they also breed more often and have larger spawns so no comparison at all really.
Its 35.3 out on my deck which is the sun but has a nice cooling sea breeze.
I have both doors open in the fishroom to get some ventilation.

It's still growing well. It puts out 2-3 new leaves a week which is more than the leopard beside it.
The leaves are a little bigger than before but still nowhere near as big as its neighbour.
No pups yet but its early days.
I brought a cool piece of driftwood back from Tasmania when I did my last trip.
I declared it to customs who gave it a quick spray to bugs and passed it back to me
