  1. Anyone know anything about breeding these? they are so tiny and cool so would be good to have a go at as so little so only need little tank..
  2. yeah il play with kribs til a nice pair of each comes along, and who knows mite have a whirl at breeding one of them
  3. hmm il see what happens, and if not il just use kribs to tank sit til some nice blue rams and cockatoos come along
  4. Yeah its a bit long winded but established that pair of angels, blue rams and dwarf cockatoos are ok in a 200l tank, but would a pair of kribs fit or is that too many territorials to work?
  5. basically its because they dont really care about their fish, seems to be their lowest priority so they dont bother hiring or training people so they know wht they are doing. Silly dogs and cats etc putting fish on the bottom shelf, not that dogs and cats are bad but you know what i mean
  6. oooo double tail hope that one works out so can send some down south
  7. Who needs tv when there are fish to watch
  8. Nice diary of photos, looks like some hard work payed off very nicely in the end

  10. oh wow and it keeps getting better, thats awesome
  11. Thats a real nice tranquil looking pond caryl, wish i had a pond :-?
  12. yeah its definitely a point, they are a big company so therefore should at least be able to sell cheap things, but they cant even do that let alone quality. i was horrified when they were asking 9.98 for a rummynose
  13. yeah i was in there the other day as well and the guy had no idea what to do with it as there were a few dead clowns, gave him a few pointers on getting rid of it, whether he takes advice or not who knows
  14. maybe gba, just a gold version of the bristlenose, they are cool and look fancy. Maybe otto's, can be bit touchy with water conditions but also a cute little fish. maybe khuli loaches for the bottom? the striped ones remind me of the little caterpillas off sesame st
  15. Ive always wondered and never got round to asking what makes a good betta? And what sort of things to look for in a 'good' specimen? Like is it just what looks good to the individual? or are there a list of things that make it good such as for judging a comp? Asking as looking into a couple of display bettas for my new tank and if can find 'good' specimens who knows mite breed them or enter a comp
  16. personally for age i look for the smallest of a specimen as generally youngest and be careful when chosing a fish that it looks healthy etc do a bit of research and most info sites give a rough estimate of how long they can live for. The likes of hatchets have a long expected life if in good conditions so the price can be warranted, ie buy one fish rather than replacing lots of cheaper ones in the same time. Go into organism and have a chat with john he can be quite helpful and has good fish Cnr Ilam and Clyde. Sorry bout the rant hope it helps
  17. welcome to the forum fellow chchians Nice plug Wilson
