  1. i have an 8L nano with 5 corals in it, and its fine, 3L weekly or so waterchanges no probs, a few snails to clean up and other random hitchhikers. only problem ive ever had is when a coral tried to spawn went a bit haywire but lots of big water changes and it was sweet. So if your careful and look at temp and salinity etc there not many issues other than maybe light levels needed for some corals. have a chat to john at organism as well he has a few good ideas as well as he also has one of similar size with around 12 frags.
  2. oh yea the cockatoos sure are posers, which is great as i wasnt expecting to see too much of them
  3. haha no got the camera and the cockatoo just swam out and sat there hehe, the fighters are in a little tank so not many places for them to hide
  4. oh yeah, he must be some sort of sugar holding camel haha, 3litres or pepsi in organism! thats a lot of pepsi haha

  6. well heres a few of my current fishies One of my pride and joy male triple red cockatoos, have 2 pairs One of the little cockatoo girls Male fighter followed by female fighter One of my 8 bristlenoses hehe
  7. how long are planning on being at each place? cos i can get off work at 1 at the airport so would be able to make organism bout 1.15
  8. in my neon experience there may be no reason for what he is doing, i had some do the same as yours and eventually die, put me right off neons stupid things

  10. they are meant to get to about 2.5 to 3 cm if i remember rightly
  11. suddenly got a fascination with dwarfs and would like more than one kind.. Getting a pair of triple red cockatoos next week , any suggestions on other dwarfs that may be ok with them in a 3ftx40cmx50cm tank?

  13. its prob not quite enough as the tanks quite deep and as want to be well planted im gunna get another one
  14. erm light is basic 3ft aquaone double bulb, just the ones it came with. and the c02 which im not running yet is just one of those yeast reactor ones
  15. yea i may have to swap the intake and output around as didnt want to put the natural co2 thing too close to the output so would just disipate straight away
  16. erm not sure what he has atm, changes round a lot but there are a few big ones left, think it was around 30 for the wood which at the end of the day isnt too bad for treated wood that is less likely to rot plus get far cooler bits. photo is a lot brighter than the tank actually looks, gunna get lots more plants after probably getting an additional light unit
  17. i ran out of time in the end as went to all the beaches around and found nothing, and john at organism had these bits returned, and really youd be pressed to find bits that cool. as to plants at the moment floating riccia, dwarf sag java fern java moss anubis
  18. well heres the pics of the new 3ft tank Nothing too exciting in it yet just a few danios and a rogue swordtale, but getting some triple red dwarf cockatoos next week which is very exciting
  19. haha i didnt end up needing it, i got a $2 desk from savemart to put the tank on so didnt need extra hose
