  1. Ok.....  Welcome to the Forum :bounce: :bounce: and man that must have been cold!  From one that gets up and milks cows for a living .... and spent last month living in her wet weather gear (and still getting soaked ) Boy you got to LOVE that rain! I'm sure this forum will help with your investigation work.... plus alot of fun
  2. THANK YOU Supasi!! Bummer to anyone that has that in there tanks! fingers cross I don't every have it.... I can see now why it would REALLY be annoying . Thank you heaps for the pic. At least I now know what it is.
  3. Have you any pic's of this.....?? Sorry I can't help but hope you can get it sorted... Just reading your post and I don't know what this cyanobacteria looks like.... Best of luck!
  4. Hey guys thanks for thee advice and that.......... Loopy yes that's what we thought they would come out like.... though ours will likely be sightly darker in colour.... Thought has VERY much gone into this re homes for kittens...... my mate has already found homes for any possible kittens there maybe..... I will likely be one if there is any left. Her cats breeder is rather keen to have one as well..... Both cats are Very nice natured ...... so possible kittens will make wonderful house cats! I will let you know how it goes...... at the moment we are trying to get though the end of calving.....
  5. I'm lost for words! VERY Very COOL!!!! your pond is the coolest I've ever seen
  6. Ok odd questions... there will be some thinking don't they breed on there own. But my mate wants to breed her girl (a siamese) to my dad's boy (a persian) but we are unsure as to how to go about it. Any ideas would be great. oh this would be SO much easier to write if my tabby wasn't trying to help me!
  7. Hey Stella Good on you for looking on the bright side I Know this can be REALLY hard! at a time like this.... I too was in your shoes earlier this year... happened out of the blue one day I had a job I LOVED the next min. I was called in to say sorry we have to let you go because of the down turn in the market....... I remember thinking WHAT AM I GOING TO DO NOW!!!! There's the rent, loan, ......... etc etc. You know what I did...... Took a 2 week break..... trained horses... and forgot about the world..... Then I really thought about what I wanted to do and get out of life. Life's too short for regrets! So now I'm following my dream of being a dairy farmer   ...... Yes I said dairy farmer with the early mornings! I get to see the sun rise every morning...... just think if I hadn't been made reduntant I may never of had the guts to follow my heart and have a go.... Life throws these things at us, its how we deal with them that matters...... All the best with the future, trust me its a bright one! :bounce: Oh Spink, all the best too... don't give up I know it can be hard. and the bills just keep coming in but it will happen! There is a job out there with your name on it!!!!!!
  8. :bounce: :bounce: VERY COOL!!!!!! would love to have a pond and goldfish like that! Great pics thanks for sharing. :bounce: :bounce:
  9. What I nightmare!! Man that would suck! I'm so keeping my fingers crossed NOW  Better get a new stand made for the old tank, its got water damage and I'd HATE to see that fall apart with tank sitting on it! mmmmmm Well there's a job for tomorrow  Glad to hear all your fish were ok.
  10. sorry to hear about your female It's hard lossing fish... Good luck in finding a new one and trying again.
  11. HI Just wondering when the next meet is and where... I've been off the scale  for the last few months ... Work and life can do that  I may come along and possibly bring a friend of mine. Thanks
  12. Hey Thanks best of luck to you Cam Let me know how you get on. First male is on a post in freshwater part here - "normal fins" - cool red colour ... heaps of my mates want to "steal" him. females are one red/blue green other one a blue colour. Well as much as females get anyway   Plus I just brought another male (in another Tank! don't worry ) which is a very light glowing blue green Crowntail... VERY cool... (Yes mates want to steal him too )
  13. Hi everyone.. I've just got 2 female bettas and want to give breeding a go.... any advice would be GREAT!!!!!!! Never tried these guys before so completely new  oh my last lot of baby Danio's have grown nicely and rehomed to a mates place. (past the love of fish on :bounce:  ):bounce: :bounce: Yes I finally got them to grown without being eaten   - NOTE: Siamese fighters LOVE baby danios!
  14. I have a borneo..... wanting to get another one... I'm totally sold on them!.... mine's got friendly ... will come to say hello most of the time... clean's up my tank VERY well.... They are a really cool fish to watch... I've got a spray bar that gives some extra flow on one side of tank ... but I've often seen him around the rest of tank as well.... If you want a nice bottom fish.. and one that helps clean up algae then this is SO the fish to get!
  15. How's it going? did you catch your female ok?? I would LOVE a Light blue one.... but don't have the tank room - have to sell my other tank .... One day. Thank you, I think he's awesome too...  though a tad cheeky... likes to try and eat by baby danios.... (due to them being in breeder net in main tank.) I'd like to breed him .... but don't think I have the set up to do it or the female  .... if I was keeping my other tank I would ... but I've just moved and really have the room or the $ to run two tanks....
