  1. day 10 sump still running 15 mins each day running through reef tank temp 24c, no heater yet slowly removing triplefins and snails, still a lot of brackish native shrimp in there
  2. finally got some pics of the frog tank 4 x 2 x 2 foot, sliding glass doors, mesh lid with nylon zip sewn in for ease of getting live food in from the left side from the right

  11. sump under tank still got each unit on self contained cycle, sump unheated will try running for 1/2hr through marine tank above soon flow through sump will be between 2 to 3 times per hour, as per article davidb posted

  18. around the seaweed beds and wharves, elusive and hide as soon as a big shape arrives, when you catch them at 5 to 10mm the ones with red spots on the belly are blue mao mao the others are sweep at about 20 mm the blue mao mao have a yellow belly had 3 at 20cm in the big tank a beautiful powder blue from above, sadly the black shag ate them so have to catch some more

DAy 5 water test on sump no heater yet but its been sitting around 20c pH - 7.8 Ammonia - 0.25ppm Nitrate - 0.10ppm Nitrite - 0.50ppm Po4 - o.0 running a Via aqua 1300 pump at the moment will start heater tomorrow and see how all these coldwater critters take it loaded more Shrimp and other types of pods into it today trying to remove snails and crabs, is this a good idea or not

  22. ran a saltwater tank in a restaurant here for a few years, had trouble with the water temp so i ran the sump return line through one of the bar chillers, no problems
