  1. if he has had them for 2 months then it must be part of his patterning
  2. i have a few goldens that have white blotches in their patterning can you get a photo?

  4. did he have them when you bought it? is it on the outside of skin? could be old water in tank try changing half water see if that fixes it
  5. the only problem i have had with air bubbles in axy is when feeding meats or white worms, if axys eat dead worms or old meat it can ferment in their stomachs and cause gas maybe
  6. red dot type are probably daphnia, stick things maybe mosquito wrigglers? as to air bubbles, how often do you change water?
  7. just to add to what has been said already if axy eats bristlenose it will get stuck in axys throat, those little spur things they have that get stuck in the net sometimes axys will have a go at anything near their mouth, so even fast fish can be eaten

  10. i run them and they do an alright job better than no skimmer at all putting a good air pump and wooden airstone on has boosted thei amount of skimate it produces threefold though the second hand, hang on back one we got on trademe is probably better
  11. pen is 10 metres long, 2 metres wide 2.2 high chicken mesh floor with weed mat over that and deep sand or potting mix on that frame is 50 x 50 mm tanalised mesh 1/2 inch square galvanised clearlite plastic panel on roof and back you could use a greenhouse and mesh the inside to stop escapes if glass or plastic is broken

  14. i thought cooters got to same size as red ears have several females at the 12 inch mark
  15. 1/2" mesh plastic sides roll up on sunny days, zip together as well waterdragons the best climbers, though beardies can get to top of mesh and get down again

  19. i don't mist our newts just fitted lids on tank once they become terrestrial they can climb very well and use their damp bodies to stick to the glass
