  3. yes they do abigail, i haven't seen one with the black patch on it though which has made me a little unsure as to a positive id
  4. i thought giant at first as there are quite a few in the stream, but the others are not as dark as this fish in natural light it is a dark brown, the slight pattern only shows under flash the lower jaw could be described as slightly undershot, only slightly though that fact and dark behind gills made me think of shortjaw there are some younger dark fish at about inanga size in the stream with black patches in the same place and some koaro too so i will have to go spotlighting
  5. not much pattern on body and black behind gill plate not like my other giants, mind you though they are bigger

  11. i would tend to agree with phoenix on that as the mucus layer on fish may be compromised by straight aloe being applied

  22. yes they will interbreed as they are both pseudotropheus, and probably produce fertile offspring as well edit"- if animals etc are of the same genus they can generally interbreed and be fertile an excepion is a horse and donkey pairing
