  1. spoon full into a small ziplock bag put in another bag use a post bag from the post office and post sent possibly 100 that way I send eggs and worms the same way cost... no charge as it has cost less than $3
  2. honestly nothing personal as all that know me know I will do almost anything for the betterment of killis but I also want that commitment as members
  3. I have my own business I cant bag up in the morning as they would be sitting in my factory all day and if the take 2 days to ship (which can happen) its pushing as by the time people get home, it may not be until evening. I have to take a guy off the road to look after my factory Takes me a couple of hours to bag and box up the fish and I need that time for the heat packs to start warming up I have to get the box to the courier before 4 pm So from say 1 pm at the latest is 3 hours. Total cost to me is 4 hours of one of my staff at a cost (all up) of $40 per hour 1 poly box at $6 2 heat pad at $1.50 each freight at $15.50 not to mention the loss of work and getting me in trouble with my customers Dollars it costs me (no profit)=$264.50 Ok, if their are Killi club members that want them, provided they are prepared to wait until I can work some time off, Im more than happy to help them Far easier for me to take the fish at the weekend to Hollywoods and leave things like that to them Hopefully Zayne, you can see that Im not being awkward but I have a business to run that feeds my family, fish could never do that
  4. I only let club members have mine and Hollywoods get all the rest Its not trying to be "awkward" its just that to send them away means half a day off work and its time a dont really have spare at the moment

    Glass Question

Opti clear is a brand name for Low Ion glass, there are several brands in the market I question wether you will see any real difference in low ion over float for a standard small tank using 5 or 6mm glass if the background was with or similar, yes it could be an advantage I strongly recomend that you view both by looking at a similar coloured background before paying good money after bad. Strengthened, heat strengthened, toughened and tempered add 5 times the strenght to the glass. That is 5mm glass that has been toughened will have the strenght of 25mm glass. Diver is corect when he advises not to use toughened/strenghtened as once scratched its already possibly going to break. Basicly, toughened glass is stronger because the outside surfaces have been shrunk creating tension on the inside of the glass. This tension (or energy) creates strenght. Once scratched (enought so that you can feel it with your finger nail), the surface is damages and can frelease the internal tension/presure from that fault. It may never "release" but it can at any stage. Keep to annealed glass. The National Aquarium in Napier has standard annealed (not toughened) glass, 35mm thick.
  8. good quality, but cheap stand interesting coment normally cheap = nasty more expensive = better quality Are you after a timber stand, steel or somthing else? Im sure the weight wont be a problem as 1500 wide will mean the weight is spred over 4 floor joists so only 125 kgs per joist, not much more than a well built guy
  9. even more amazing at 2.30 in the morning on a cloudless night They use to "visit" at about that hour at a friends place on the Barrier. Keep in mind that these were boys weekends away and 2.30 was about the time we had finish all the scallops and half the fish we had caught as well as the liquid to wash it down. Kakas are one of my favorites as well but not when hung over as they dont give up

if they are clear, they are newly laid and probably OK eggs are clear for the first up to a week
  11. seems to occure when over feeding of brine shrimp happens. The way to treat it is with copper but Killis will also be distroyed by copper (too much) so make sure your fish can handle copper or move them to another tank I use snail rid when I have a problem but there are no Killis anywhere near the tank. Snail rid works using copper

  17. Not too dissimilar different colour skin and he has not too much hair above his chin really. My mostash came out halfway to the end of my nose Best way would be to think of it as a person who had been lost in the middle of the South American jungles for a few years without ever meeting another human being  Real class eh
  18. As an employer, if the choice was of two of very similar quality applicants, I would without a doupt choose the "clean apparence" as to me it shows better judgments I do enploy 2 guys that have tatoos and neither show them off at work, they both hide them
  19. Josh Something to keep in mind about apperances is that sooner or later you will need a job Some of these things are not going to help you get ahead which is the same with tatoos Fine for out the back on an assembly line but for mamagement or sales it would probably be quite restricting. Im sure that there will be replies that will say but Im a manager and I have this and that but it will almost definatly make employment a little less easy
