  1. you realise that fish are cheap when compared to all the addons that will "need" now? Filters are by far the most important I bought a whole lot (29 from memory) on trade me that gives all sorts of effects and that was fun I can tell you I would also recomend a night school class on DSLR photography so that you will learn what all those little buttons do Wish I had the time when you were up here to of met up and we could have had a play with some of my stuff... next time eh
  2. I certianly dont mean to knock this as I really do belive that art is in the eyes that view it and I do have wierd eyes with a lot of what I like
  3. we agree on something
  4. Grant is an evil man Not everything should be shared Is this the same grand daughter who was photographed with the big guy? Still love that photo
  5. and proud of it was my 58th B'day yesterday and had all 3 grand kids around. Both the boys are more cudly than the g'daughter and just like sitting on my knee watching TV
  6. when your an old guy like me, your grand daughters voice is all the pictures you need (had mine around yesterday so Im still smiling)
  7. tell your grand-daughter to phone as its more personal
  8. interesting What would you keep at 36?
  9. next will be interesting will the worms be OK and not full of poison? May pay to be carefull on what and when you feed the worms to I would strongly recomend not feeding them out for a week to allow the rubbish to be expelled from the worms Thanks for all the info
  10. as someone earlier commented, why employ a kid when you can employ an adult for the same money? The government that passed that law was simply crazy as most kids you have to teach how to work, when to turn up and how not turning up effects not their employer but effects their work mates. Most adults simply want a job Think of this as another "talk"
  11. or bring it over at some stage to me or my glass company
  12. Thanks for keeping in touch with this
  13. possibly the same timber used for coffins?
  14. I can see that the talk we parents give to you work then I must relate that to the parent forums Mind you, I think P44 still needs work as he needs a crewcut haircut you know, the sad thing is that all your complaining about, you will do in the future as you (like us parents) are only trying to make our kids into better more successfull offspring Now go make your mum and dads breakfast (or lunch or dinner depending on when your reading this)!!!
  15. "My dad ain't that good at remembering to drive me places." so your dad has a life of his own as well? Be thankfull that he will take you at some stage and dont forget to tell him that your thankfull Dads (and Mums ) are not there as slaves  Good luck with getting them though as I realise your excited Have a look at Killis if your going to Hollywoods
  16. I agree I too have bugged them about Killis for ages (yes I admit I was starting to bore them I guess) but when they came available, they contacted me and have now bought in 2 more specie that had dissapared from NZ and normally have stocks of others as well. "This is a perfect example of why its so important to support stores who have the best interests of the hobby at heart."
  17. agreed in total I have never sold a think on TM but a $1 reserve is the only fair way to sell in an AUCTION If you want an amount for it why not have a no reserve and buynow? For the auction itself, they wanted to replace it because it looks so bad with the scratches and was old meaning it may need to be rebuilt soon BBW
  18. when time allows, I feed twice a day and therefore start a new one as Alan said twice a day The eggs Im hatching at the moment are harder to hatch (cheaper brand) and take 24 to 48 hours to hatch so Im not getting the best value from the food Buy in bulk and keep the tins in the fridge
  19. Tim from the Killi club had them and use to sell them. They worked but not too well and as Alan mentioned, will only feed one tank at a time. Interestingly enough, he wasnt using them on any of my visits to his fish room I thought of using a few myself but stayed away from the idea because of 2 reasons, firstly, I think its better to feed small feeds a few times a day (or as Im doing now once a day) so that fry are a bit peckish and will eat more when food is there in bulk so to speak and secondly because I know it would only be a matter of time before I damaged them through turning around and hitting them accidently
  20. By all means write an artical but it would be great to see how you got rid of the mites and maggots as I normally have 5 or 6 cultures going. Im trying to starve the bugs out at the moment with the idea of a few worms living in the soil while the bugs go elseware for tucker
  21. as long as Im not the model  I have a little more meat on my bones
  22. and please let us know how you get on....PLEASE
