Am I going to overcrowd my tank?
Clown loaches can start to imatate other fish. So, if you have a lot of danios, watch the clowns trying to join them. mine think they are bala sharks 1/2 the time. Bloody funny to watch ^.^

Mark's new 350L Tank (4-Foot) - Updated FTS - Page 4!
That light bit of wood usually has a featherfin and my hemisyno hanging below it, and its not that light. The rushes i've had for quite a while, and seem to be living, so hopefully they won't die If they do, i'll need to find something else thats tall. Any other ideas?

Am I going to overcrowd my tank?
Loaches @ 25 degrees can be a pain. Mine all got whitespot, and it refused to go away over the course of a month and 1/2 (kept coming back with continued treatment), so put the tank up to 28. Problems solved immediately.

Need info on building a HUGE tank
Have a look in DIY projects. Tank Man (I think) made a tank for the Wellington airport, perhaps contact him? Filtration directly from stream& back into tank would solve problems of cooling the water, water flow, and filtration. Just have to be carefull getting the water out again. Overflow filter? I would use low level aquarium lighting to show off the fishes colours. And how big? 8foot + i hope!

Can anyone confirm that dwarf gourami are known disease carriers? And if they are, is septicemia one of the diseases that they carry?

I had rampant alge in my tank until a few days agi, bought a massive bunch of plants, and dosed with Flourish Excel, alge is virtually gone already. More plants = good- Hey hey
Apparently the have a pitbull pleco @ jansens glenfield. I'll try and get a pic.- New Tank Thread
thats very low light I'm running dual 3foot T8s on mine currently, and the plants are stringy and weedy- Changing Substrate
Best way of getting muck outta substrate - Pillow case!. (and hose) Pref. not one that you need to use later though- interesting polypterus site
From what i've found out they are bred & imported. intrestingly, my two senegals are never more than 15cm away from each other, see what happens as they develop- Changing Substrate
no quick way, i'd have a couple of spare filters to filter out all the muck running on the tank, even if they are just internal filters stuffed with filter wool. Leave some ugly yellow stuff in there in a corner or a fine layer at the bottom for biological filter, or you may have problems. Wrinse the gravel out beforehand, and then as you are getting the water out, wash the gravel in the dirty water.- What Do Black ghost knife fish Eat.
Anything that could possibly be conted as "food" gets eaten with mine Colourbits, flake, fingers, bloodworm, etc etc- Polypterus senegalus size...
