Your tank doesn't sound overstocked and your water parameters sound fine. A pH of 7.4 is a little higher than I would of expected but they should be able to handle it. Happy to pop around over the weekend if you like and see if anything stands out.

Awesome aquaria and ponds with some stunning fish. Arapaima are fantastic looking fish. They had some big ones at the Singapore Bird Park in a large outdoor aquarium that you could feed sprats on a fishing pole if you paid your money. -

Its only slightly larger. I think its a 70cm tank. I keep the bigger tanks for the plecos Yes Phoenix44 I was also thinking Nymphaea lotus var. rubra. Hopefully now I've chopped the flower off I'll soon get some nice pics of another one. I'll let the next one go to seed if anyones interested in having a crack raising them.

Plant pics. The biggest leaves are over 20 cm long. Excuse the duck weed. Its in my fish room so I tolerate it.

:facepalm: Might be a bit difficult. I chopped the flower of this morning as it was past its best. Oh well it should send up another and I have a few pups.

The flowers opened (pic added above). Now I just have to wait for a non-squashed one.

Thanks. I'll add more photos as it develops. I might wait until I get another flower that's not crunched before I send shots to Supasi. If its anything like the regular tiger lotus it will keep on flowering.

Finally my 'red tiger lotus' has flowered. Unfortunately it got a little scrunched under the cover glass but its still going to be an impressive flower. I brought it as a red tiger lotus but it seems to have arrowhead-like leaves when young versus rounder leaves. Anyway nice to have a bright pink flower in the tank.
