Thanks Jono. Nice to hear from you. The yellow hmpk was bred by Josh from a hmpk he got from me and a halfmoon from me. The hmpk will trace back to your pair that I originally got from you. I still have one of the original spawn from that pair and every now and then I get a couple of young males that throw back to them as well. The top hm is a dragon (very thick scaling). He's about the only dragon I have not yet bred from as I don't have any spare tanks atm - only got 17 running currently :oops:

We've just had security systems installed in both the fish shed and our house due to a couple of thefts of fish and one of things from my daughters bedroom (near the fish shed end of the house) in the last 12 months. At the time the fish taken had newly arrived so someone must have been following my trade me purchases and must have been to my house before to know which ones to take. I do hope you get them back.

Just be careful that the rocks falling don't hit the glass and crack it. Looks good otherwise. I've got a couple of tanks that size and find them good.

glad to hear you are all okay. we were having a discussion about the quakes seemingly having stopped yesterday as hubby and daughters were in chch from 17th - 24th and didn't feel anything.

to slow the sponge filters down just ask at the shop where you buy the filter. You can get valves that restrict the flow of air (they are t shaped).

Hollywood Fish Farm have it and they will send. PM them or phone. They open at 10am.

I'm wanting to wish everyone here on the forums a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous 2011. For those of you going away drive carefully and keep an eye out for those on the roads who have little respect for other motorists. Take the opportunity to spend time with those near and dear to you. If you have to work over this time, like I once did, take the small amount of free time you do have and spend it doing what you enjoy the most. To my fellow FNZAS members, I have enjoyed meeting for the first time a number of you this year and hopefully in 2011 I will have the opportunity to get around the country and meet more. the best way is to transfer as much media as you can from the current set up to the new filter but only do it when you are ready to put the new filter in the tank.

what about ember tetras. Mine have gone a lovely orange and the males are a solid deep orange.

Hopefully its sorted - after waiting until Monday pm for an ultrasound she went into surgery yesterday. They removed her appendix and some fluid from her abdomen which has gone off for testing. Was it appendicitis, we don't know however in a couple of weeks when the results are through we will approach Southern Cross again. Fingers crossed. She's now at my house recovering. Hopefully now the pain will be gone and we will have some sort of closure.

must be the time of the year :lol: My last two batches of brine shrimp haven't hatched. Tonight I realised I was trying to hatch the decap brine shrimp :oops: Not only that but the other night after I set the new mix to hatch I remember dipping the spoon in the older fry tank so they could eat the decap!!!!! :facepalm:
