  1. Hmmm, not sure if you were asking about the pic's in my post? But the top pic is an exoterra 45cm x 45cm x 45cm at about $150.00, the light is a dual 100watt homemade fitting about $5.00 + bulbs (6500k Spirals), some orchid bark mix and assorted $2.00 houseplants that suddenly started growing. The second one was a trademe purchase. We got the whole tank + stand + lid + light + cannister filter for $40 ( I nearly cr***ed myself when we were bidding) Has a random assortment of plants that are just starting to take. Growing out the Bell Frog Taddies at the moment.
  2. Here's my Exoterra, This one is going to have Whistling Tree Frogs going in it. Managed to score a big 100cm x 45cm for the Bell Frogs We have got one at the moment just finishing growing its front legs -Whistlers are hard to come by up here in Tauranga!!! Anyone got any for sale who are keen to send!! Have just upgraded the Bell Frogs, Terrarium is only a couple of days old - so looks pretty sparse at the moment. lots of mucking around with the waterfall and false bottom.
  3. Thanks for the reply, Am due to go to Auck's in a couple of weeks so will call in.
  4. Merry Xmas all, I know this has been asked a few times ( I have searched!!), but I am really struggling to find Egg Crate locally here in Tauranga, I have checked out all the big chain stores (Mitre 10, Bunnings etc) rung every electrical supply stores in the Yellow Pages and most of the Plumbing places too. I note that Mulfords Plastics (Hamilton)have been mentioned on here in some older posts, they are closed for xmas so I cant confirm if they have it !! I am getting desperate as the system home built I made up for my kids frog terrarium is pretty knaff! I may just use upside down Yates Seed Raising Trays and be done with it! http://www.yates.co.nz/products/books-t ... seed-tray/ I am even willing to travel to a supply if necessary! Any suggestions?
  5. Where is a good place around the Tauranga area to go and collect or at least check out a good cross section of native fish and inverts(Koura). My kids are just at that age where they are starting to appreciate some of these sorts of things! We caught a couple of Tadpoles and a froglet? the other day which they thought was great and are having heaps of fun catching flies etc. to feed them.
