  1. I got the wire initially with my icecap ballasts(no longer use) the new stuff I got from an electrician. You should be able to get it from an electrical store
  2. t5 wiring for speed I cant get a decent shot of the endcaps, but they attach the same way as the ballasts do.
  3. growth is good, havent much to compare to as I have only ever used t5
  4. lol just started heating the water in the new pool, 400,000l will make quite some gas bill I am sure
  5. Updated photo, not a great one butu get the idea of how the tank is coming along
  6. $230 last month, 1 reef tank, 2 adults, 2 kids, gas bottle water heating. Go the heat pump and good insulation
  7. Its a red sea sailfin tang, nice fish very peaceful
  8. Hey charles, tank is going ok. I am happy with the ballasts, 6 bulbs put off plenty of light. I will try to get some photos later today
  9. I have always cycled my tank with the sand in it.
  10. If your planning on having a reef with metal halides you will need both a chiller and a heater, if you run t5's you only need a heater.
  11. you can try manual removal, or if your tank is big enough and you can keep one you can try a sailfin tang. I have heard sailfins eat it but its not a definate answer as some might eat it and some might not
  12. sounds like bubble algae
  13. wow they are cool, nice video.
