    Dwarf Brag

Good one Navarre They are a nice looking fish, It would be awesome to be able to get some in the future sometime.
  3. Glosso spreads itself out if you have correct lighting. You have already asked me or some of this, Do you not want it anymore?
  4. http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=39020
  5. Thats a nice looking plant that I would like to get my hands on also
  6. It is grown emmersed and is not used to being fully submersed. It is a marginal plant that normally grows with its feet in the moist wet soil. Where did you get it from? Have you moved it from cold water to tropical? IMO, dosing with ferts wont really help as the plant is not yet established so will not be doing much growing yet. HTH
  7. Olly, Pm me and I can send you some if you like. Or bring you some to the next fish meeting if you attend. Yes it grow in cold water, in fact I originally got mine from a local stream. ( I have been propagating it for the last few months)
  8. I have not used one myself, but Im guessing that you remove the bung to allow the chamber to be filled with water. Then replace bung to allow co2 created by the tablet to fill the chamber. As the CO2 is trapped in the chamber it is in contact with water all the time and slowly is disolved into the water. HTH
  9. Put it in a bucket and make sure it is running whenever possible. Only disconnect it when you are actually moving it. Last thing unplugged and first thing to plug in. Should be sweet
  10. I cant help but be reminded with the name Pedro   Gosh!!!!!!!
  11. Generally most foregroung, lawn effect type of plants require very bright lighting conditions. Glosso is awesome for foregrounds and I can send you some if you like , but it needs good light or else it becomes straggly and dies off. Hair grass is messy unless trimmed regularly. Sag Subulata is good and as Phoenix stated will grow tall in bright light. HTH
  12. Because most plants actually grow very differently when grown emersed. And simply, because we can
  13. Looking good. How are you heating the tank? Do you have some sort of cover to keep the humidity up?
  14. Pic please, come on show me :bounce:
  15. Bugger! If only we had known while I was down there yesterday, I could have brought it all the way back for you. Hopefully someone can help out
  16. Ok so now I get the joke in another thread.
  17. Neat. were you feeding the eels?
  18. Not far from opening now :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: I have to agree about the Uragauyensis, its a nice plant. Must keep an eye out for it myself.
  19. Does someone want to put up a handwritten sign on a window or something so we find the right place. Ill see you there
  20. Yes they are emersed. I have a tank of crypts grown submered too and the same plants look totally different in each tank. Hence only true way to ID is by the flower. Do it, its better than fish, lol
  21. I will try to get there. I forgot about it and have not cleared it with my other half.
  22. Check out photos of mine here http://supasi.wordpress.com I have had several flowers now from two different plants now wit the possibility of a third plant soon. I have a suspicion that yours may be Cordata, but we will see once it flowers.
  23. Well they dont usually flower underwater, but no it wont shoot to the top. (at least I dont think it will) The flower is about 24 hours from opening so keep an eye on it. It usually opens during early morning. Shame its submerged as mine put out an unusual scent. Keep us posted
  24. Hard to tell the crypts true ID until the flower opens. And yes that is a flower. Congratulations. Thats unusual for it to flower submersed. Keep taking photos as the flower is usually only at its best for one day, and that day is not to far away. Get as many of the flower and we can try see if we can ID it.
