  2. Thanks heaps for everybodies help
  3. yup just did one - after talking to paul about it a bit, i think i have found the problem, when i said I did a big change around i moved a large piece of driftwood for the first time since having the tank. after checking the sword out a bit more its not actually clamping as such, as when it stops swimming hard out its fin goes back up i'll just keep my fingers crossed and do a few water changes
  4. thats a shit load all at once - i'm guessing quite a few might die is there any chance that someone can look after half?? I have a 300ltr tank, when i set it up - I had empty for a week then had a couple plattys for 2 weeks and then added about 5 or 6 fish
  5. I won't be able to get there until sat - what do you think i should add or not add in the mean time?? they seem to be eating.... I also have clown loaches in there and they look great .... i thought they were meant to be the sensitive ones. I'm also about to do a water change, its been 4 days since there last one and they get water changes once or twice a week
  6. any ideas on what to do?? if i can get a good pick i will post it
  7. PH is at 7 I don't have any other testers
  8. I have two blue rams which have been happy and healthy up until now, now they both are clamping there fins, what would be causing this and what do i treat it with?? They are in a 300ltr tank, with alsorts of fish, swords, gourami, neons etc etc tank has been up and running for 4 or so months. I have never had a fish die in there so i'm a little stumped?? all the other fish in there seem fine BUT there is a new sword that I didn't quarenteen that is clamping too but is swimming around normally?? about 2 weeks ago i put her in I haven't cleaned out the filter but i did do a major change around of the scenery about 3 days ago.... including a really large gravel vac. Can anyone help??
  9. Yea mollies are a good idea too, I really like mollies, I haven't seen a neon blue one though but theres heaps of neat colours you can get
  10. I wouldn't put any type of barbs or angels in with the betta's other wise they will nip the bettas fins. Neons glow light tetras dwarf gourami swords plattys guppies rummy tetras corys Male betta? well theres some of my small fav's
  11. All of the above are good and I like them too!! plattys are colourful and easy to look after.... dwarf gourami?? swords, um theres so many that would look soooo good lol
  12. I have convicts in with my turtles 2x breeding striped with about 40 fry, I haven't seen fry grow so fast!!! they eat all the left over turtle food and its doing alot of good!!! I also have 4 white convicts in there and a pleco and I have never had a fish die in with them so I don't think thats your problem
  13. lets just hope you mean 35 small tanks ?? yea I move around new years and I have just got the 5 tanks to move and i'm dreading that, so stuff doing yours thats going to be fun
  14. what size is the tank?? is there plenty of plants in there??
  15. Usually it is brought on by stress- neons can get it pretty easy from what i have heard - others will be able to help more. be sure to do good gravel vac's to get the spores out of the gravel - when i got it i did about 5 really good vac about two days apart and haven't had a problem since. hope you sort it out - sorry about your loss
  16. wow very cool, nice looking angels
  17. they don't usually show there colours as bright if they have white spot but I have never had so many fish die at once so I'm not to sure - I would do the water change and then treat and then just keep an eye on them - Good luck
  18. did you do a water change after you noticed them dieing? then treat with whitespot treatment as that might be what you have neons get it easy when they are stressed - anything that may be stressing them out?
  19. Buy a really good filter - I would recommend more than one as if it grows up alone it will have to stay alone otherwise it will kill another turtle when it gets big and you try and give it friends. I have two turtles in a 130ltr tank and they have plenty of room for now but they are only a year old and I will be up grading soon
  20. Is it one of these? http://www.connect.ab.ca/~jamesdfo/loach_buddies.jpg
  21. wow your tank looks great well done!!!!!!!
