Lights are mostly for plants- I leave my lights on just untill I go to be and then put them on again when I get up

Well I have 2x aqua one 1280 -300ltr 1x AR620T 1x AR620 1x AR510 1x Jebo 338 all with the curved class with no problems at all - I have never had a tank crack on me so I don't know what force the class will take. Well at least now you have a free replacement, which seems very lucky :lol: And at least now you have a second new tank WAHOO!!! Well good luck with the cycling and I hope you have no losses

I don't know sharn but I would like to know if they would actually be ok in together - I just didn't want to risk it - but it would be very cool if they could be happy together. The smallest one I have seen is about 6cm long and was the cutest thing I have ever seen - I nearly had 3 for a moment there :lol:

I have 2 of them too, and recommend the black ghost knifes. I have one about 10-12cm's in a 4ft tank and 15-16cm's in a 5 ft tank they are so cool - but they don't come out during the day usually only in the evening or when food is dropped in. I just have them in with a community group of fish like a large kissing gourami, angels and gold gourami and a few others with no problem. *touch wood* now that I have said that. and also no problems with plants either. I did have two smallish angels with no eyes one day and have since read they like tasting tiny angel's eyes.

I have a big poly box you can use!! I actually have two if you need two Is it ok for you to pick up a couple gourami's for me?

Yea I agree about jebo heaters being not so good - but they are pretty cheap so you get what you pay for. I have a aqua one canister too and I wouldn't rate it against my jebo

I have a jebo 819 and I will have another on the weekend - I recommend them, its doing a great job. I love setting up new tanks other than my poor wallet part of it :roll:

Hey in the photo what is the fish called that is black with yellow spots? I am new to cichlids and I am about to set up a malawi tank so trying to find some cool cichlids to watch out for.

I brought two in whangarei when I was up there 2 weeks ago, the first one died the first night and the second one died on the trip down, they were the only deaths so i wouldn't try them again. was the biggest waste of 30 dollars ever haha. Anyway back to the point I was talking to the lady in the pet shop about them having babies and she said they are always breeding in the display tank and showed me a couple babies so I guess its not impossible. GOOD LUCK!!!

animates always has dwarfs when i go in there, I recon just give them a try

What type of malawi's do you have in it?? I am just setting up a new 5ft tank and I am thinking of having cichlids but am not quite sure just yet :-? And luck for setting up the new tank
